Beauty Favourites of 2015

Firstly, let me just say Happy New Year to you all! It's been a bit of an on and off year in terms of blogging for me, but that hasn't stopped me from finding some great beauty products throughout the year. Today's post is a yearly round up of my favourite products from 2015 - and what a great year it has been!

Starting with the base products, this year has been a new discovery of the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum. I finally bought it after hearing so many good things about it, and I have to say its an amazing foundation. I've also loved the Maybelline Baby Skin primer as it makes my makeup last a really long time, it also smells great which is a bonus. The Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer has been my favouirte concealer of 2015, it gives a brightening and glowy finish. The powder I've been using has been the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder. As always, my favourite brushes have been the Real Technique Brushes, the ones in the photo are the Multi-Tasking and Buffing Brush. Bronzer-wise, one of my favourites has been the Stila Bronzer, it's subtle and natural which I like.

I don't know how I ever used any other eyebrow product before I used the Soap and Glory Brow Archery, it's incredible. It is so simple to use which makes filling in eyebrows so easy. The best eyeshadow palette of 2015, for me, has been the W7 In the Nude palette, which is a dupe for the Naked 3 Palette. Although the pigmentation isn't as good quality, the shades are very pretty and wearable. I also recently discovered an amazing mascara, its the Maybelline Lash Sensational. My eyelashes are so curly and defined when I use this.

I have 3 lip favourites for 2015. The first one is MAC Patisserie, this is the most perfect lipstick as it is such a natural every day shade. The next lipstick is the L'Oreal Colour Riche in JLo's Nude, this again is the perfect nude shade. I have also loved the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet in Nudist, the formula of these are incredible.

April Favourites

Today is time for another Monthly Favourites post. I have a few new beauty favourites this month, as I bought some new things recently.

Beauty

If you have been reading my blog for a while, you may know that the Maybelline One By One Mascara has been one of my favourites for a while. This is actually my second bottle because I love it so much I repurchased it. I featured it in my Favourite Four Mascara post if you want to read more on it.

A new discovery of mine this month has been the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet in 'Nud-ist'. I have a post all about it coming up, so more detail about that will be in that post. But I love the colour and the lasting-power is amazing, these lip products are incredible.  I will definitely be picking up more shades.

I also rediscovered a No7 eyeshadow (doesn't have a shade name on it) that I haven't used that much before. It is a brown/ grey/ taupe shade with a slight shimmer. I have found this to be such a natural all over the lid shade.

I have had a few break-outs this month and the one product I have found to really help with covering them up has been the Benefit Stay Don't Stray. It's a concealer and eyeshadow primer, I've been using it underneath my concealer as it makes it last much longer. I really like this and I always use it to cover anything that I want to stay covered the whole day!

Another new favourite for this month, also from Bourjois, is the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum. This is a foundation but it's more light and natural which is why I love it so much. I really like wearing this as it has such a perfect consistency. I really recommend this foundation if you are looking for a natural base.

My brush favourite for this month is the Real Techniques Setting Brush. I have been using it for blending my under eye concealer and setting it with powder. It's not really a brush that I hear much about, but it is still a real necessity in my brush collection.

The last beauty favourite for April has been The Body Shop Passionfruit Body Butter. If you have tried these body butters then you will know how moisturising, buttery and amazing they are! Also the Passionfuit scent is my favourite, it's so fruity and it smells lovely.

Favourite Four Mascaras

Normally, I would do a 'Top 5 ...' post, however I couldn't find 5 mascaras that really were my favourites - only 4! So it's going to be a 'Favourite 4' post instead. Anyway, like all my other 'Top 5 (or 4)' posts, these are not in any order!

L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes // full review Here
This has been featured on my blog many times, purely because I think it is such an amazing mascara. Firstly, let me just comment on how gorgeous the packaging is, the gold and purple really compliments each other! It has a plastic applicator, which is actually quite small and thin. I think this is why the mascara is not clumpy whatsoever. It lengthens my lashes so much, this is such a good mascara especially if you are looking for a good drugstore mascara.

Benefit They're Real Mascara
This is my all-time favourite mascara, unfortunately it is a bit more expensive than the others in this post. But, with most Benefit products I think, you do get what you pay for as this mascara is incredible. It instantly defines my lashes and makes them voluminous. Like the L'Oreal mascara, it is a plastic applicator. This makes sure it really grips to my lashes and lengthens them. If you add layers and layers it could become a bit clumpy, but for me one coat is just fine! It lasts for such a long time as well, doedn't smudge which other mascaras I have used tend to do.

Soap and Glory Thick and Fast Mascara
I went through a phase a few months back, when I really loved this mascara and used it so much. The mascara is really in the name, it works so quickly and instantly volumises my eyelashes. This is a bristle/fibre applicator, and he applicator is quite large so I tend to get mascara on my eyelids easily. But the actual product is really amazing. Great for when you are in a rush and you need something that doesn't require a lot of time.

Maybelline One By One Mascara
I have been through a fair few of Maybelline mascaras, and this has to be my favourite out of the ones I have tried. It is actually my second tube, that is how much I love it! It is the most lenghtening and defining mascara I have ever tried. Although it is quite easily for my lashes to become clumpy when I use this, so I do have to be a bit careful. But this is such an incredible mascara, my lashes become so long when I use this!

So those are all my favourite mascaras, hope you enjoyed this post! Thanks for reading!

March Favourites

As it is the end of March (already?) it is time for my March Favourites! I didn't do a Favourites for last month, so a few of these things are also favourites from last month as well.

Beauty

A couple of weeks ago I picked up a new Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in the lightest shade, I used to have Shade 2 but I realised that it was a bit too dark for me. So now that I have it in the correct shade for me, I've been using it a lot more. You have probably heard lots about this concealer, but it is very affordable and is very high coverage.

In my Top Pink Products for Spring post, I mentioned the Topshop Cream Blush in Flush. As this blush is so appropiate for spring, I have been using it a lot recently seeing as it is now officially spring. I have a post all about it here.

A new favourite of mine is the L'Oreal Colour Riche Eyeliner in 120 Immaculate Snow. This white eyeliner is perfect to put on your water line to brighten up the eyes. It is so creamy and pigmented which makes it so easy to apply.

I have re-fallen in love with the Real Techniques Stippling Brush. I used to use it a lot for blush, but throughout this month I have used it for applying foundation or concealer. It blends it in so smoothly and evenly and doesn't apply the foundation too heavilly. It leaves the skin feeling like skin which I really like as sometimes different brushes can make the foundation feel heavy on the skin, but this brush doesn't do that.

I think I've saved the best till last. It is my MAC Lipstick in Patisserie. I have had this lipstick since last summer and although I don't wear it very often, this month I have used it a bit more than usual because it is such a pretty shade! It is a lustre finish so it does apply a bit more sheer but it leaves a nice glossy finish. Patisserie is the perfect everyday nude, it is basically a pinky brown shade but looks so natural!

Non-Beauty

I am going to see Insurgent in the cinema in a few days, so I wanted to read the book before I watched the film. So you may have guessed that the Insurgent Book is my favourite for this month, although I haven't actually finished it yet, it is very good so far!

Top Pink Products for Spring

One of my favourite colours to wear in Spring is Pink. It just seems like such a spring appropriate colour, corals and brighter neon colours are more summer. But neutral and pastels are always in for spring! I have put together my favourite pink products that are perfect for this spring.

Blush and Eyes

My favourite brand for when it comes to blushes is definitely Sleek. The products are amazing quality and really pigmented. I have the Sleek Blush in Pixie Pink. It's a gorgeous bright pink that is just the right pigmentations, by this I mean it isn't too bright but not too subtle. Just right!

The other blush in the photo is from Topshop and its a cream blush in the shade Flush. It's a cream to powder formula so it blends nicely and gives your cheeks a nice pink flush, hence the name :D

I have a little eyeshadow that is so pretty, the swatch of it doesn't show how stunning it is in real life! It's from No7 in Antique Rose and is a lovely gold and pink eyeshadow. It is nice and shimmery but also very natural at the same time!

Lips

If you've been reading my blog for a while, you may know that I do love my pink lispticks. I find them so easy to wear and they can suit anyone with any skin tones! For this post I decided to pick out my most pink lipsticks that would be perfect for spring. Most of my favourite lip products are from Revlon, so I have included the Revlon Matte Balm in Elusive. This is a gorgeous medium toned pink, its so natural and is also really creamy and not at all drying.

I also love the Revlon Lip Butters and I chose the shade Strawberry Shortcake. The lip butters from Revlon are so hydrating and feel like lip balms, this shade is a light nude pink and is such a nice spring shade.

I think MAC lipsticks are such amazing quality so I couldn't not include it in this post, its the MAC lipstick in Chatterbox. Again, its a very pretty everyday pink. Finally, to change things up a bit I have included a lip gloss.

It is the Tanya Burr lipgloss in Aurora. I absolutely love this lip gloss, especially the name. Its actually very good quality and I have a whole post dedicated to it here.

Brushes

I know, I know, I only chose these brushes because of their pink packaging. But it was too pretty to ignore and just fitted nicely with the post! So from top to bottom in the picture (they are all from Real Techniques by the way, I'll just tell you the name of the brush.) Multitasking Brush which I use for powder and sometimes blending in foundation, Setting Brush which I use to blend my under eye concealer and the Stippling Brush which I love to use for foundation.

So those are my top pink products for spring. I hope you enjoyed this post and tell me your Top Spring Products in the comments below! Thank you for reading.

A New Mascara Favourite

If you saw my most recent post which was a January Favourites, you will know that recently I have been loving the L'oreal Volume Million Lashes mascara. And you can probably tell by the title, that this post is all about that mascara!

Firstly, let's just take a moment to adore the packaging of thinks mascara, but to be honest loreal packaging is always on point! It always looks very classy and good quality, I think the gold and purple look so nicely together as well.

The mascara has a plastic applicator; but it is much softer and has very small bristles. I really like this about the mascara, because although it is more gentle, it still lengthens and defines my lashes very nicely! It works instantly to make my lashes look fuller and much longer. Most mascaras take a bit of time for them to work, but this mascara is so quick and not clumpy at all! I really recommend this mascara if you want long and fluttery lashes as this mascara is amazing at doing that!

January Favourites

Its weird to think the first month of 2015 has come and gone. But just like at the end of every month, its time for my monthly favourites!

Beauty

Sadly, my Collection concealer is coming to the end, so I have been using my Rimmel Wake me Up Concealer a lot more. This is a very brightening concealer, I have noticed there are tiny winy shimmer particles in it, but they are so small you can barely even notice it! I just love this concealer under my eyes, it instantly brightens and makes me look more awake, hence the name.

I have discovered a new mascara favourite which I have a post all about coming up this month! Its the L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes mascara and oh my gosh its incredible! My lashes are so long and curly after I use this and they are so defined and look amazing!

Although I have read many mixed reviews on the Maybelline Baby Skin Primer, I think it is a really good product. I can feel that my makeup lasts a lot longer when I use this and it smoothens out my skin and leaves it feeling very soft! However it doesn't have any coverage or change the appearance of my skin, which is what I thought it was going to do. But apart from that I think its a very good product!

Non-Beauty

If you follow me on instagram, you would've seen some of my posts on my new journal that I picked up last week from TK MAXX. It is so adorable and says "Leave a little kindness wherever you go" which I think is a really cute quote. I am obsessed with it at the moment, the pink and gold just look so lovely together and I have already started writing and doodling inside it. The journal is just a really nice way for me to be organised and write about really random things that I want to write about!

Books

I know I am like SUPER late on the bandwagon with this, but a few days ago I had never read (or seen) Divergent, shocking I know! But I started reading the book at the end of January and I literally couldn't put it down! I finished it in about 3 days which is really fast for me as I am actually a very slow reader. I just think the whole storyline is really good and its a very easy read book. Now I just need to watch the film and get the next book in the trilogy!

Music

I know I featured this in my Current Favourites post in the beginning of January, but I am still in love with 1989 by Taylor Swift. Though I am beginning to get a little bit bored of it, but only because I listened to it so many times. But in a few months I will rediscover it again, I always do that with albums! Anyway, I am including this in my January favourites because I was loving it in the beginning of the month, but not as much anymore!

That is all of my favourites for last month! I hope you enjoyed this blog post, thank you for reading!

Current Favourites

Instead of doing a December Favourites, I decided to do a Current favourites because most of the products in this post I haven't actually loved all throughout December, mainly towards the end of the month.  So this post is a collab with Laura (www.beautyybylauraa.blogspot.co.uk) you should all check her blog out as she's so lovely and so is her blog!

Makeup
I have a post coming up on this in 2 days so I won't go into too much detail. But I am just in love with the Barry M Starry Eyed Palette. I mean, just look at it! The colours are gorgeous and perfect for winter. As I said a post is coming up on this, but I just love this palette and I couldn't not mention it! I've also recently been obsessed with winged eyeliner, the eyeliner I've been using is the Collection Fast Stroke eyeliner. It makes eyeliner so easy as its very liquidy and glides on like a dream! I am definitely going to be doing a How to do Eyeliner post soon! Next up are two lipsticks which I am currently loving! The first one is the Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in 107, I used this in my Christmas Day Makeup so you can check that out here if you want to see it on! It's such a gorgeous dark vampy lipstick, I've never really owned a dark colour like this so its so nice to own one! The other lipstick is by L'Oreal and it is in the shade J Lo's nude, I think it is also called Cheryl's nude as well? But anyway, it is such a pretty natural every day nude and I've been wearing it so much!  My last makeup favourite is actually a brush, its the Real Techniques Multi Tasking Brush, this brush is just so useful. It comes in the Travel Set so it also comes with two other brushes. But I can use this brush for so many things: blending foundation, powder, blush and even bronzer!

Skincare
I don't really talk about skincare that much on my blog, but that doesn't mean I don't take care of my skin! I've recently been using the Garnier Miscellar Cleansing Water to remove my makeup and I wish I'd bought it sooner! Its amazing, takes my makeup up so quickly - even mascara! If you haven't tried this already (what are you waiting for?!) I'd really recommend picking it up!

This next favourite I didn't take a picture of because it is currently in my bathroom. It is the Lush Bohemian Soap, if you aren't a fan of zesty scents you will dislike this one! However, zesty, citrusy and fruity scents are my favourite! This soap is made from lemon oil so it has a light citrus scent, I've just been loving using this as it is really refreshing.

Music
If you follow me on instagram (which is another one of my favourites! Follow me @_beautiegirl I post regularly!) then you'll know I have been OBSESSED with Taylor Swift's 1989 album. Every single song is brilliant, in fact I'm listening to it right now. My favourite songs are I Know Places, Wonderland, Wildest Dreams, Blank Space and New Romantics. Plus the polaroids that come with the album are just too cute.

Blogs
Here are a few of my favourite blogs I have loved this month, I recently discovered them and I'm absolutely in love with their blogs:
Rebecca - From Roses
Holly - Bloomin' Rouge

So that is what I am currently loving at the moment, I hope you enjoyed this post and thank you for reading! Also be sure to check out Laura's post, here are some of her favourites!

Best Benefit Products

When it comes to Benefit, there are some products that personally, I don't really think are worth the money, but then there are some products which are amazing. This blog post is going to be about my favourite products from Benefit. These are probably Benefit's most popular products as they are very hyped about but that's because they are so good!

The first thing is the incredible They're Real Mascara (review here). If you haven't heard of this, where have you been?! But seriously this mascara is amazing. It makes my lashes 10x longer and more voluminous. Although this mascara is a whopping £19, I really think its worth it as I can really notice a difference when I wear this. Also it lasts for a very long time, which means its a pain to remove. But if you haven't tried it, you should definitely put this mascara on your Christmas list!

Next up on my favourites from Benefit is High Beam. There is also sun beam but I prefer High beam. In a nutshell its a liquid highlighter, obviously I have a mini version but I've had it for ages and there's still plenty left. I like this because most highlighters I have tried are more glitter than a subtle shimmer, but High Beam has a very natural shimmering glow that doesn't look like you've dusted glitter all over your cheeks haha.

The Hoola bronzer is also one of my loves, the shade of this bronzer is not too red toned nor to grey toned but perfectly in the middle. It's also very pigmented so you only need a tiny bit. Again, I have the mini tester version but I've still only used a tiny amount so the bronzer lasts very long!

Last but not least, the famous Porefessional! I've actually done a full review on this here! This is one of the best primers I've tried as it really helps me stay matte throughout the day and it covers my pores. This primer is better for oily skin as I don't think it would be suitable for dry skin as it might be drying.

Can I just say, Benefit get a 10/10 for packaging! Anyway, those were the products I think are the best from Benefit! Thank you for reading, bye!

October Favourites

This year is actually going so fast! October went so quickly and now it is November already? Say what?! Haha I guess that can only mean it is time for my monthly favourites.

Beauty
I recently picked up the w7 palette 'In the Nude' as I had seen a few bloggers talking about it a while back. You can probably see from the packaging it is VERY similar to the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette, even the shades are pretty much the same. The shadows are very blendable and gorgeous colours! Before I go into too much detail, I have a post on this coming very soon so keep you're eyes peeled for a full review on that! If you are looking for a cheaper alternative to £37 UD palette, this is great for you at £6!

You have probably seen this Nina Ricci Lipstick (unfortunately still remains shadeless) floating around in a few of my recent blog posts this month. But that's because I have been obsessing over it! It was limited edition around last year (maybe the year before) so I don't think it is available anymore. It is a gorgeous dark berry shade, perfect autumn shade! It is a glossy finish however which means it can slip and slide but the colour is stunning which is what draws me to it the most.

As it gets much more colder in winter, baths become inevitable which means I can bring out the Lush bath bombs. I recently rediscovered my love for the Comforter Bubble Bar from Lush. It is my ultimatefavourite  product of theirs I have ever tried. At only £4.95 it is such a bargain as you can cut it up (it's massive) and use it about 5 times, maybe even more! And don't even get me started in the smell, mmmm lushhhh!

Book
I've read the book: The Host by Stephanie Meyer about a year ago, however, this month I realised I never actually finished it oops! So I decided to read it again (from the beginning, not where I left off haha or I would never remember the story!) and I've really been enjoying it! It's quite a long book but I think it is very interesting and not boring at all! It is very gripping, adventurous, sad and enjoyable to read! I also love the film!

TV
My Dad introduced my sister and I to a show he used to watch about 10 years ago called Lost and wow let me just say I have never been as hooked onto a TV show as this one. It is by far the best show ever and in about 2 weeks we have got through 2 seasons so far. It's about survivors of a plane crash in a mysterious island with lots of creepy mysteries. There are so many unanswered questions at the end of each episode you just have to watch the next one.

YouTube
I have been loving watching the Saccone Jolys as they are just so adorable! If you don't know who they are, they are a family who make daily vlogs but they are just so fun and their two children Emilia and Eduardo are actually the cutest.

Music

So that is all from me I hope you enjoyed this months favourites! Have a nice day, bye!

September Favourites

I think September has been a transitional month from summer into autumn. I've been wearing much more autumnal makeup and dressing for fall. I think autumn and winter are my favourite seasons because it gets me so excited for Christmas, but I might just be saying that as I'm a bit bored of summer! But once again it's the end of the month which means it's a monthly favourites post!

Makeup
I have noticed myself reaching for Soap and Glory Thick and Fast Mascara a lot more often this month and I don't exactly know why! I think it's because, hence the name, it applies so quickly and easily that I can just put in on in the morning when I'm rushing to go to school. This mascara gives a lot of volumes which I like. It's nothing dramatically special but I have been using it a lot this month.

As it's now officially autumn, it gives me a reason to wear more berry lip colours which I love. You may be thinking, "but Amanda, that's a green lipstick?!" Yes, it is! But don't worry! Once applied to your lips it comes out a pinky berry colour. I will do a post on this lipstick soon to show you how it comes out on the lips as it doesn't come out the colour it does when you swatch it on your hands. But I absolutely love the colour and this lipstick lasts forever! It literally doesn't even come off with water, it's like a stain which could be a good thing or a bad!

Skin
This month I have been loving the Vaseline Cocoa Butter as it is so moisturising and my skin has been feeling extremely smooth recently. I really recommend trying it out if you have quite dry skin as it instantly will make your skin hydrated and soft!

For shower gel, I have been using the Soap and Glory Rich and Foamous and oh my it is amazing! I've always loved Soap and Glory skincare but this smells so good! It smells like almonds and shea butter, which is very nice. It leaves my skin feeling very hydrated as well. Normally with shower creams the smell doesn't last very long but with this it lasts a very long time.

Hair
I've had the V05 hairspray for a while but its only recently that I've been really liking it. It holds my hair all day, even when I have to go to school it still keeps my hair in place. I haven't actually used any other hairspray so I don't have anything to compare it to. But I recommend trying it out if you are looking for a good hairspray!

August Favourites

Once again another month has passed, which can only mean one thing - a monthly favourites! Summer is over which means autumn is here! Is it just me who cannot wait for sweater weather, hot chocolates, dark berry lips and cosy nights in? Anyway enough said, lets get on to my favourites for the past month!

Beauty

As I recently went on holiday, I wanted to bring along a lip balm that had SPF in it to prevent my lips from sun burning. I picked the Nivea Soothe and Protect lip balm and I am so glad I brought it with me. It helped protect my lips from not only burning, but from drying out as well. I have just been using it a lot recently and it has really worked.

August has been quite hot at times, which means my skin has a tendency to become oily during the day. I needed something that would keep my make up in place and keep my skin from becoming too oily. The Benefit Porefessional has done the job just fine! It makes my skin feel really smooth as well and I have noticed my foundation lasting longer when I wear this. Although it doesn't completely stop my skin from being oily but it does keep it quite matte when I first apply it. I will be doing a full review on this soon so keep your eyes peeled for that!

My next favourite is the Boots 3-minute Clay Mask. I picked this up a couple of months ago when I was trying out some skin care products. Although it was quite cheap and I wasn't expecting much from it, it is actually surprisingly quite good! I was hoping for it to be a bit more thick as it does come out quite then when I want a really thick layer. It really helps to cleanse my skin and there isn't a huge noticeable difference, however I can notice a difference on my skin as it helps to clear away any impurities. It also is really refreshing as it contains cucumber extracts.

A couple of days ago I painted my nails with the Maybelline Colour Show Street Artist Top Coat in Alley Attitude on top of a Ciate nail varnish in Ferris Wheel. I absolutely love the Maybelline nail varnish, it looks so cool and you only need 1 coat, but I put 2 on to make it more bold. The colours are really bold and look stunning once on the nails. I really recommend this nail varnish as I love the finish of it!

July Favourites

Once again another month has flown by and has brought me to some rediscoveries of things I love. July hasn't been a month for beauty favourites but mainly a month of random things.

Beauty
You may have guessed that this would be in here as I have mentioned it in many blog posts already in July. I just love the Bourjois Colourboost Lip Crayon in 'Peach on the Beach' and  I think it is the perfect summer lip colour. The formula is amazing as it is moisturising and very smooth to apply and the pigmentation is great as well. I have also loved having glowing and bronzed cheeks, the Benefit Sum Beam has ticked all the boxes for me this month. It's so easy to apply and makes your cheeks gorgeously radiant.

Non-Beauty
As it is the summer holidays I have been reading a lot more than I usually would. My favourite book in July that I read has to be 'I've Got Your Number' by Sophie Kinsella. I found it hilarious and so cute, the characters were so intriguing and although the ending was kind of predictable and some things were quite unrealistic. Okay I should probably tell you the plot (no spoilers don't worry), it's about girl named Poppy who is engaged to a guy name Magnus, she loses the engagement ring (which was an expensive family ring) and on the same day loses her phone. But then somehow she finds a phone in the bin (that's the unrealistic bit) and the phone belonged to Violet who was someone called Sam's PA. So Poppy ends up reading all Sam's e-mails and gets to know more about him. Its a very easy read book and I really recommend it if you want to read a feel-good book.

For TV shows I have been really obsessed with Gossip Girl, the storyline is so hooking I can't stop watching it. I can't even begin to describe it because I know I won't do any good. But if you haven't seen it I highly recommend it.

Recently I have been trying to eat healthily and smoothies have been something that I have been making nearly everyday. My favourite smoothies are berry ones, they are so easy to make and delicious.

June Favourites

Hey beauties! Somehow we are already half way through the year already! June has flown by and now it is July which can only mean one thing, a monthly favourite! In the month of June a lot of fun things happened and has been one of the best months this year! Anyway let me get on with my favourite products.

Beauty

Earlier in June I picked up the Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation which I was a little bit unsure as to whether to buy it or not because the last time I bought a foundation it was completely the wrong and I barely used it. But I am really impressed with this foundation, it is light to medium coverage but I quite like that as it feels light on my skin. Also it is the perfect match to my skin and looks very natural.

For my birthday I asked for the Real Techniques Stippling Brush as I thought I might use it for cream blush, but actually I prefer to use it for foundation. I love the finish it creates when I use this, it looks really natural and blends really nicely. I don't actually use this for blush, I think fingers work better if I'm honest. I also like this brush for powder because of the duo fibres.

My friend got me the a Benefit Fine One One for my birthday and it is so so so nice. It is a cheek and lip trio that has a highlight, a pink and a orange. The formula is basically like a cream blush but in stick form. Once blended out it looks so natural and it is really easy to use. Love it!

I have never owned an eyebrow pencil so the Rimmel Professional Eyebrow Pencil is my first one. I a really glad I chose this as it is really easy to use and is not too creamy or too hard. I have the darkest shade which is Black Brown and I think it is the best colour match as it is an ashy colour not a red toned brown.

Another favourite of mine in June was the Revlon Lacquer Balm in Vivacious. It is a bright pinky red. I like to put a lip balm on underneath and then apply this so it is more sheer and not so bold. I absolutely love the formula of these lip Lacquers and the colour range is lovely too.

I have always loved the Body Shop Body Butters, so when I found they had a sale on them I was super happy. I picked up this lemon scent for £5 (originally £13!!) and can I just say how I am a fan of lemons, the smell and the taste haha. This body butter smells incredible and I am sad because it's finished now. :(

Non-Beauty

I've never actually included a book favourite, but in June I was reading Looking For Alaska by John Green and it is so good! It is funny, sad and keeps you turning the pages. Although I do not think it is John Green's best book, I still think it is a great book.

TV show-wise I have been loving Pretty Little Liars. I have been watching it for over a year now and I think it just gets better and better. The first 2 seasons drag on a bit but once you get to season 3/4 it begins to get more thrilling and interesting. If you have not seen it it is like a teen mystery drama about a group of 4 girls who's friend went missing and they try to uncover what happened to her.

May Favourites

Hello beauties! Another month has flown past and that means it is time for a monthly favourite! I cannot believe it is June already, I am quite excited for this month as it is my birthday on the 19th eeek! Anyway, let's get on with my favourites.

The first thing is a mascara. It is the One by One Mascara by Maybelline. I guess you could say I have a love hate relationship with this mascara as sometimes it doesn't quite work but sometimes I absolutely love it! When I say it doesn't work I mean it comes out clumpy and over the top. But throughout this month i have been loving it because it is very lengthening and makes my lashes look super long.

The next product in my list of favourites is the Real Techniques Detailer Brush. This is usually quite an unpopular brush as it doesn't really do much. However I like to use this as a lip brush to make my lipstick more precise. If I am wearing a bold lip and I need it to look accurate and not messy, I will use this to line my lips precisely. I think it fits really nicely in the corner of my lips.

Skincare-wise, I have began using this Boots a Cucumber Facial Toner to cleanse my face. Firstly I just want to say it smells so refreshing and healthy which is always a bonus. But its also really nice and cool on my skin and has helped to prevent break out.
