Confessions of a Beauty Blogger Tag

Hey beauties, so I wasn't actually tagged by anyone but I thought I would do the Confessions of a Beauty blogger Tag! I hope you enjoy this blog post and I tag all of you to do this if you are reading!

1. How many hours a week do you spend planning/ writing/ uploading posts?
I only post once a week on a Sunday and it takes me about 30min - 1hr to take and edit photos. But I do take photos in bulk for about 4 blog posts. It doesn't really take me that long to write a post, probably about 15 or 20 minutes if I'm honest. And then it would take another 10 minutes to put it all together so I would say it takes me about 1hr 30 min a week, depending on what the post is.

2. Are you a spender or a saver?
Well, I want to say I am a saver but if I'm honest, I am quite a spender. Actually, I save up but then I spend it. I guess I'm a bit of both.

3. When is it easiest for you to write your posts?
I like writing my blog posts on a Friday or Saturday night. I don't like writing them on school nights as I have homework to do and it's not as relaxing.

4. What makes writing posts comfortable for you?
There isn't really something that makes it comfortable, but probably that I just love what I'm writing about and it's fun I guess.

5. What's your worst makeup/ hair habit?
My worst makeup habit is probably my Skincare. I don't really remove my makeup everyday, most days I just wash it off in the shower oops.

6. What's one quote you wish the world would live by?
"People who mind don't matter and people who matter don't mind" if you don't get it haha, basically it's saying that people who don't like you or are haters etc shouldn't matter to you and you shouldn't care about them. And people who you do care about and who do matter to you don't mind and aren't haters haha.

7. How long do you spend getting ready everyday?
On a school day I spend about 30-40 min to get washed, dressed and to do my makeup and hair. But if I tried I could probably do it in 15 minutes.

8. What your favourite post on your blog?
My favourite post... Hmmm... I actually really like the Hair Tutoiral I did here and the outfit post I did here. I should probably do some more hair and outfit posts but I never have the time to go outside and take photos etc. makeup wise, my favourite is probably the Battle of the Lip Crayons blog post I did as i really like the lighting in that photo haha.

9. Who is a beauty blogger that you think deserve more subscribers that they have?
I absolutely love Olivia from www.oliviaericaryanxo.blogspot.com 's blog. She is absolutely gorgeous and I love her style! I can't believe she doesn't have 10000 followers yet?!

10. What's one thing you're excited about in the coming year?
Summer for sure! I can't wait for the weather to be lovely and to go on holiday!

11. What has been your favourite blogging moment?
There hasn't been one special moment as the whole journey has been great! But probably reaching 100 followers as that was quite an achievement.

12. How long does it take to prep for a post?
I'm guessing this is about the photography. It takes about 7 min to set up where I take the photos. Taking the photos and editing them takes about 25 min and writing the post really doesn't take that long. So overall I'd say 35 min.

13. Are you wearing jeans/ skirt right now or are you wearing pyjama bottoms?
I want to say I am wearing a skirt but the weather isn't that great today but I am wearing leggings.

Thanks for reading this and I hope you enjoyed this! I tag all of you to do it! Have a lovely day, bye!

Natural School Makeup Tutorial

Hello beauties! Today I have my first makeup tutorial and it is a natural school makeup tutorial. This is what I wear most days to school as it is quite discrete and minimal. My school doesn't really allow much makeup so I have to make sure it is discrete and looks natural.

Face
The first step is to prime your face. I use the Benefit Porefessional and it just smoothed out my skin and makes my pores less visible. I don't like wearing foundation to school as it can feel quite heavy, sometimes I might wear BB cream. But I think if you're trying to look me you're wearing no makeup it's best to keep things minimal. Therefore, I just use concealer. No surprises here I am using the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer on any blemishes or red areas. I then use another concealer which is the Collection Illuminating Touch Concealer. This concealer is one where you twist the bottom and the product comes out through a brush at the top. I use this under my eyes on any blemishes as it is nice and brightening. To prevent my concealer from slipping and sliding during the day, I use the Natural Collection Pressed Powder. This helps to reduce shine on my face as well. For blush, I think a natural matte colour will be best. I use the Natural Collection Blush in Dusky Pink on the apples of my cheeks.

Eyes
My school doesn't actually allow eyeliner or eyeshadow, just mascara. Therefore I prefer to use a brown mascara as it is a lot lot lot more natural and subtle. I use the Rimmel Soft Kajal Eyeliner in Sable on the outer lash line and a tiny bit on the bottom lash line. I put it in the corner and then smudge it across so it isn't heavy. If you aren't allowed mascara, then I recommend using the Benefit Bad Gal as it is very natural and not clumpy whatsoever. However, if you are allowed, then try a lengthening mascara, I like to use the Maybelline One by One Mascara. I might even add another mascara for added volume.

Lips
Normally, schools don't allow lipstick, but I like to use a tinted lip balm or a sheer lip gloss just to add a little bit of colour to my lips. The Maybelline a Baby Lips in Cherry Me is a great sheer cherry red. However, this can look quite unnatural if you use too much and you do not want to get in trouble. A lip gloss is another option, I like the Benefit Coralista Lip Gloss as it comes out really natural and it's hardly noticable. You do not have to wear any of this if you do not want to.

Thank you for reading this post and if you would like re tutorial type posts then let me know in a comment! Have a nice day, bye!

Tanya Burr Aurora Lipgloss Review

Hey beauties! Today I have a review on the lipglosses by Tanya Burr. If you don't already know who she is, she is a YouTuber who makes beauty videos. I am going to be reviewing one of her lipglosses from her Lips and Nails makeup range. The shade I have is called Aurora which is a really nice name because it is like the Disney Princess (Sleeping Beauty.)

The packaging of the product is really nice as you can see the colour of the lipgloss. It is rectangula and the lid has a really satisfying click when you open and close it haha. I picked up Aurora because it looked like a natural, rosy pink colour. There is a slight shimmer in this shade which I also like about it. But one of my favourite things about the lipglosses is that it smells amazing! It smells really yummy like raspberry sweets.

The actual formula of the lipgloss is really good. It is not sticky and applies really evenly and smoothly. It is also very nicely pigmented and isn't too glossy but still has a nice shine to it. I really like this shade because it isn't too in your face but it isn't a nude colour either. I think it is a perfect, rosy pink.

Overall I a really impressed with this product and congratulations Tanya Burr for creating such an amazing makeup range. This lipgloss is priced at £6.99 which is a decent price and I definitely recommend them. There is a wide range of gorgeous colours and I would really like to pic up some more! Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed this post! Have a nice day, bye!

Current Fashion Favourites: Monochrome Dresses, Chunky Boots and Sandals

Hey beauties! Today's blog post is a little bit random but I just thought that I'd share with you my current fashion favourites! Recently I have been obsessed with monochrome print dresses especially dogtooth patterns. I have a dogtooth pattern shift dress which I have been struggling to wear as I don't know what to pair it with. So I took a trip on Polyvore for some inspiration and now I have found some amazing shoe ideas to wear it with. I absolutely love chunky boots especially Vagabonds, and I think they would look super cute with the dresses. Vagabonds are a little too expensive for my budget, so I took a look on new look and topshop and found some great alternatives! I love the boots with cleated soles as they look so cute! Not only have I been loving chunky boots but also chunky sandals! I think New Look do some great chunky gladiator sandals and for a great price! I really want to go shoe shopping now ahh! But I might have to wait till my birthday which is in one month! I think the white sandals will look super cute in summer as well! I think dresses and cute chunky shoes are just so pretty and cute and I can't wait to get a pair haha! Anyway I hope you enjoyed this short blog post and if you would like to see some more short blog posts like this then please comment! Thanks for reading and have a nice day! Bye!

April Favourites

Hey beauties! I cannot believe I am doing my April favourites already! This year is going so quickly, next thing I know it will be December! Anyway as May is here it means it is time for my monthly favourites.

As most of April was the Easter holidays, I was wearing more makeup than what I would normally wear to school, such as eyeshadow. So for my first favourite, I have a Barry M palette called the Natural Glow Shadow and Blush palette. But specifically I have been using one shade which I don't know the name of but it is a bronze colour (the 5th shade.) it's a really natural everyday shade and is really pretty on its own. My most recent blogpost was on Barry m products which included this palette for more photos.

Seeing as it is spring now and the sun is beginning to come out more, I have to protect my freckle prone skin to prevent my skin from getting more freckles. This is the No7 Anti-Dark Spot a Facial Sun Protection. This is basically a sun cream but for your face. It really helps to fade freckles so I like to use it to protect my skin from the sun. I have been using it everyday and it has helped to reduce my freckles. I really recommend this if you have freckles on your face and you are looking for a product to fade them.

The next favourite thing I have been loving last month is the Seventeen (was called 17) Va Va Voom Mascara. This has been my favourite mascara in April and I have been using it non-stop. It really volumises my lashes and also really lengthened them at the same time. They didn't come out clumpy at all and were nice and defined. I actually really like this which I did not think I would when I first got it.

Another Barry M product, it is one of their lipglosses in Toffee, it is a natural browny nude colour. This looks super natural and is a nice nude. I really like brown coloured nude lipsticks, I think they look more natural than pinky nudes. The smell of this lipgloss is so amazing as well! It's smells like toffee and caramel ahhh! I literally want to eat it every time I put it on. I 100% recommend these as they aren't sticky at all and are really worth the price.

My last favourite for last month is a Maybelline Baby Lips in Rose Addict. You may have noticed that this doesn't look like the ones you might have seen. That's because these are the ones available in Asia (and Australia I think?) This is a gorgeous rosy tinted lip balm and looks so natural. I like to wear this to school because it isn't too bold but looks nice and rosy. It isn't very pigmented which I like as it is nice and sheer. If you can get hold of these definitely pick these up!

That were all my favourite products for the month of April, I hope you enjoyed this post and if you liked this then please follow me on bloglovin I am very close to 100!! Thanks for reading! Have a nice day, bye!
