The Classic Winter Jumper

A white jumper is a classic wardrobe piece in winter, they're warm, cosy and look nice too! I paired it with a shirt so the collar came through at the top. Grab your handbag and you're good to go! The jumper is from Primark and it has a loose and slouchy fit which makes it all that more comfortable. I'm sure you can find many similar jumpers from any shop!

Merry Christmas

Hello everyone! I hope you are all having a lovely day and are having a great Christmas! I wanted to write a blog post saying that I hope everyone is smiling and spreading happiness with their families on this special day. We should all be grateful for the presents and gifts we received and for the food we are lucky enough to eat. Even though there are people out there who are less fortunate, we should wish them a merry Christmas as well as they deserve to be happy on this special day too. I would like to say thank you to my family and friends for making this Christmas a joyful day. I would also like to wish you all a merry Christmas and thank you for reading my blog, I don't think I've ever said it but it really does mean a lot and I love all 200 of you! Merry Christmas everyone!

Last Minute Christmas Beauty Gifts

My favourite thing about Christmas is buying and choosing presents to buy for family and friends. Personally, I prefer buying for girls (especially when they like beauty that makes it 10x more fun haha!) So I thought I would do a gift ideas under £15 post so you can pick up any last minute presents that you forgot to buy! Also as these are presents for her, they will mainly be beauty!

Barry M Eye shadow and Blush Palettes
These palettes contain 6 eye shadows and 1 blush shade. I recently picked up the Starry Eyed palette and I am IN LOVE with it, very autumnal and the shades are gorgeous. The Natural Glow Palette is also very nice and will suit anyone as the colours are very wearable, that is if they like eye shadows of course! The packaging of these palettes are also very pretty and are great for £6.50!

Victoria Secret Sprays
These photogenic sprays are perfect for any girl who loves fragrances! They aren't too expensive and also smell incredible. My favourite scents are Mango Temptation, Pure Daydream and Love Spell.

Revlon Lip Butters
I'm sure any girl won't mind little presents like lipsticks in their stocking, the Revlon lip butters are a great way to go! There are so many shades to suit any skin tones, there are nudes to dark berry shades. My favourites are Strawberry Shortcake (a pale pink), Sorbet and Berry Smoothie. They are so pigmented and moisturising, I haven't even mentioned how gorgeous the packaging is!

Soap and Glory
Every year boots sell Christmas edition gift sets of soap and glory and their sets are lovely! My friend got me this for Christmas and it contains minis of the best products! Also the box is really cute and this is such a lovely present that I'm sure anyone will enjoy!

Barry M Nail Varnish
If I received these cute Barry M Nail Varnishes I'd be very happy! The colours are stunning and the quality of them are really good as well! I prefer the Gelly Hi-Shine ones to the original ones as I think the formula is better quality! They are also about £3.99 which is an amazing price.

Lip Balms - Baby Lips/ Barry M/ Nivea
Mostly everyone uses lip balms so they're an easy present to get! Especially if you area just getting someone something small, some lip balms would be cute! I really like the Body Shop Lip butters because they're hydration and smell incredible!

Christmas Party Makeup Look | Beauty

I cannot believe how fast Christmas is approaching! I'm sure a Iot of you will be going to Christmas parties, so I thought I would do a makeup look for what I would wear if I were going to one! Let's get started!

Starting with the base, I used the Benefit 'That Gal' primer on mainly my cheeks and nose to give my skin a nice glow. I then used a small amount of Maybelline's Dream Pure BB Cream on my skin, this is quite light coverage so it looks and feels really natural on the skin. I just blended this in with a Real Techniques Buffing brush. On any blemishes, I covered them up with the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer and I also put a little bit under the eyes.

Onto cheeks, I used a the blush out of the Sleek Face Form Contour Kit as it has a slight gold shimmer which I thought would be nice for a Christmas party! I think shimmer is always nice so the Benefit's Watts Up highlighter really came in handy. I just applied that to the tops of my cheekbones and down my nose.

I used the MUA Undressed eyeshadow palette on my eyes. I took the golden shade all across my lid  and the darker olive toned gold in the outer corners. I then blended it all together to create a really simple smokey eye. For mascara, I just used the Maybelline One by One mascara.

To finish off the look, I applied MAC's Patisserie on my lips. This lipstick is absolutely gorgeous! Its a stunning natural nude that really suits my skin tone and goes lovely with a smokey eye!

I hope you enjoyed this makeup look I created and have fun at your Christmas parties! Thanks for reading, bye!

Winter Evening Pamper Routine

Winter is all about cosy nights in; so I thought I would do a pamper routine. This is what I tend to do on evenings so enjoy!

1. Firstly I run a hot bath and use one of my Lush bath products I have in line to use. I decided to use the Candy Mountain Bubble Bar as it makes the bath smell so sweet and pink! In the bath I like to read a book or listen to some music. Recently I've been loving Taylor Swift's new album 1989.

2. Next I will do my Skincare routine, so I wash my face with a Garnier face wash. I then remove the rest of my makeup with a Bopts Cucumber Makeup Remover. For toner, I use the Garnier Fresh Refreshing Toner but I don't really recommend this because it's very strong as it contains alcohol. This means it's very drying and not very good for sensitive skin! As it's drying, I have to use a moisturiser afterwards so I use (yet again) another Garnier product.

3. I then get into my cosy pyjamas, my slippers and pyjama bottoms are from primark. They are so warm and are a necessity in winter.

4. Once I'm all cosy in bed I will watch a movie. I chose to watch a very winter appropriate film - Frozen! One of my favourite disney films! I might also watch a few episodes of American Horror Story or a few YouTube videos!

So that is what I tend to do on a Friday evening to pamper myself after a tiring wee at school. A lot of these pictures are from my pastel themes Instagram (@_beautiegirl) so make sure you go and follow me! The link is in the side bar! Thanks for reading, bye!

Festive Makeup Favourites

Some products I will look at this and instantly think Christmas, but some are a subtle hint of festivity. This post is a mix of both, some will scream Christmas and others not as much. I have put together a few of my favourite Christmas products, here they are!

Bourjois 3D Effect Lip Gloss in 06 Rouge Democratic
This is clearly a very festive lip colour. It's a bold red with a little but of shimmer. When it's is applied it isn't as bold but more of a wash or red, but it's definitely buildable. I love this at Christmas as red is just such a festive colour!

No7 Highlighter
I don't know why but I always associate sparkle and shimmer with Christmas, which is why I have chosen this gorgeous highlighter from No7. It's a very glittery highlighter and not for a subtle glow kind of person. This product would be gorgeous for a Christmas party!

M.A.C Lipstick in Speak Louder
Typically, Christmas would be a bold red lip kind of situation, but I think a deep pink would also be a nice different alternative. I have the shade Speak Louder which is a gorgeous bold pink but is still very wearable without being to bright. I will definitely be wearing this to Christmas Parties coming up!

Barry M Glamour Puss Palette
Once again, more shimmer! These colours a very different to what I would usually wear, there are some olive tones and also a purple shade! But the main reason I picked this was for the shimmery colours, I think they could make a gorgeous smokey eye! You wouldn't normally think of Christmas when you see this but I think it could work nicely!

Revlon Laquer Balm in Demure
The last product I have chosen is a pinky nude lip crayon with a subtle hint of glitter. Aside from reds and bold lips, I think it's nice to have a nude option! I really like this lip crayon as i would describe it as having a lustre finish (like the MAC lipsticks haha!) Which means it looks really natural and pretty.

So that is all my Christmassy products I have chosen! I hope you enjoyed this blog post and thanks for reading!

The Waterfall Braid | Hair

Trying to find an easy, pretty and unique hairstyle can often be quite difficult. Recently I have been loving putting my hair into a Waterfall braid. But although this hairstyle isn't easy (takes a lot of practice), I do think it looks very special. I'm not going to do a tutorial as it is quite difficult to explain and I think videos on YouTube made by hair stylist professionals can do a better job at explaining it than me! I just thought I'd show you some pictures of it in my hair and express how much I have been loving it recently!

Soap and Glory Stash

For a very long time I have loved the brand Soap and Glory (I'm sure you've all heard of it) and I thought it was time I did a post on it. I'm not entirely sure how to explain this post but its basically a mini review on the products I have, so my Soap and Glory Stash. From bath and body to makeup to alarm clocks!

Bath and Body
The Sugar Crush Body Wash is probably the product I am most excited to try. Zingy and citrusy scents are my ultimate favourite so this shower gel ticks all the boxes for me! At the moment I am using the Smoothie Star Deep Moisture Body Milk which has a almond/nutty scent but feels so moisturising and buttery! Definitely recommend that one as I can really notice a difference in my skin. I also have some minis which I am going to be using when I go travelling, I have the Clean On Me shower gel and the Scrub 'Em and Leave 'Em Body Buff.

Makeup
I've always loved Soap and Glory Makeup, even though I've only tried two products, but their makeup range is so pretty and looks amazing! I absolutely love the Thick and Fast Mascara and I'm thinking of doing a review on it soon because it is so amazing! Something I mentioned in my Disappointing Products post is the Sexy Mother Pucker lip gloss, I'm not too happy with this product  because unfortunately it just didn't reach my expectations.

Non-Beauty
The first non-beauty thing I have is a makeup bag, well I guess this is slightly beauty related so I kind of cheated here. But its quite big and spacious and my auntie actually got this for me so I am really grateful for that. She also got me a S&G shower cap but I couldn't really take a photo of a shower cap ahah! Anyway the makeup bag is a black and pink dogtooth print and inside it is black and white. I also have an alarm clock which came in a set that my friend got me!

As you can see I love Soap and Glory and my favourite range is the Sugar Crush range as the scent is incredible! I have tried many other Soap and Glory products but they have obviously ran out so I couldn't include them. I think Soap and Glory would make great gifts at Christmas if you are stuck for present ideas! Thank you for reading this post I hope you enjoyed!

W7 Palette - Urban Decay Naked 3 Dupe!

As a makeup obsessed beauty addict, I am always wanting to get my hands on the Urban Decay Naked Palettes, but the price tag puts me off every time! So for a while now I have been searching for a very similar dupe with the same pinky and rose gold shades. While raiding the TK MAXX store searching for any bargains (I picked up a set of 3 Revlon Lip Butters for the price of one of them (£7.99) in there before, trust me there's many goodies hiding around. I also got a Too Faced palette as well which is rare but a bargain buy!!) I saw hiding under some bits and bobs, a rose gold rectangle shaped palette and in my head I was hoping for it to be the Naked Palette. And when I pulled it out, it was something very similar!

So the palette I found is called the w7 palette 'In the Nude' and clearly as you can see from the packaging looks a lot like the Naked 3 palette. It has a sturdy rose gold tin packaging with the name of the palette written across it. Most palettes that have similar shades to UD palettes are often from MUA or Makeup Revolution which have fairly cheap packaging (but are very pigmented I must add), but this palette's packaging looks very good quality!

When you open it up, it is clear that the colours are more or less the same as the Naked 3. It ranges from natural pinky gold shades (which are my favourite!) to darker greys and mauves. There are 3 matte shades, one of which is my favourite (in the Naked 3 palette it's called 'Nooner'). The darker shades are very pigmented, but the lighter shades are a little bit less strong in colour. But they come out stronger when applied with my finger and not a brush! There are some glitters which are very pretty. My favourite shades are showed in the picture above. I might do a makeup look with this palette if you're interested?!

Overall I am very impressed with this palette and definitely recommend it if you're looking for a cheaper alternative to Urban Decay palettes. This was only around the £6 mark which is 1/6 of the Naked palettes! Thank you for reading this review and I hope you enjoyed!

Top 5 Thurday - Drugstore Products

I am definitely a drugstore lover, there's just so many amazing products out there for great prices! For this months Top 5 Thursday is on my top 5 drugstore products. Let me just say this was very difficult to choose as I couldn't decide which ones were the best as there are so many good ones!

MUA Undressed Palette
Whenever people ask me for cheap but good quality eyeshadow palettes, I always recommend MUA palettes as they are incredibly pigmented but are only £4 for 12 shadows! The Undressed palette (review here) is a great dupe for the Naked 1 Palette as the shades are so similar! There's a mix of matte and shimmer and the shadows are so pigmented! I really like this palette and its one of my favourites.

Revlon Lip Butters
Even though I'm mentioning 4 of the lip butters, it still counts as 1 products I guess... Oh well I love the lip butters in general. The shades I have are Sweet Tart, Berry Smoothie, Sorbet and Srawberry Shortcake. I love these because they are so moisturising and are a mix between a lip balm and a lip stick. I actually have a review here if you want to see! Even though they aren't the most pigmented, they are still very buildable and are very natural. Plus the packaging is gorgeous!

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer
This is one of the most hyped about products in the beauty community. But that's because it is amazing! The coverage is very high which is great as it can easily cover very red spots. It is also quite creamy but does tend to have a drying finish, so for dry skin this might not be great. I am continually repurchasing this concealer as its fab!

Revlon Colourburst Laquer Balms
Another Revlon Lip product ahah, I guess I love Revlon's lip product! I am in love with their lip crayons as they are so beautiful. I have the shade Vivacious and Demure (review here). I really like the shade Vivacious as its a bold pink that's still really wearable and the shiny finish means it is buildable. Demure is probably my favourite as it is supposedly a dupe for MAC Hue. It comes out a sheer pink that is so wearable and I am in love. Moreover, the packaging (again) is stunning!

Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation
Again, I have a full review here if you are interested. I really like this foundation as it has a very natural finish on the skin and its not to heavy. I'd say it ahs a medium coverage but it's definitely buildable. Also this is about £6 which is such a bargain!

So those are all my favourite drugstore products! I hope you enjoyed this post and thank you for reading!
