The Classic Winter Jumper

A white jumper is a classic wardrobe piece in winter, they're warm, cosy and look nice too! I paired it with a shirt so the collar came through at the top. Grab your handbag and you're good to go! The jumper is from Primark and it has a loose and slouchy fit which makes it all that more comfortable. I'm sure you can find many similar jumpers from any shop!

Winter Evening Pamper Routine

Winter is all about cosy nights in; so I thought I would do a pamper routine. This is what I tend to do on evenings so enjoy!

1. Firstly I run a hot bath and use one of my Lush bath products I have in line to use. I decided to use the Candy Mountain Bubble Bar as it makes the bath smell so sweet and pink! In the bath I like to read a book or listen to some music. Recently I've been loving Taylor Swift's new album 1989.

2. Next I will do my Skincare routine, so I wash my face with a Garnier face wash. I then remove the rest of my makeup with a Bopts Cucumber Makeup Remover. For toner, I use the Garnier Fresh Refreshing Toner but I don't really recommend this because it's very strong as it contains alcohol. This means it's very drying and not very good for sensitive skin! As it's drying, I have to use a moisturiser afterwards so I use (yet again) another Garnier product.

3. I then get into my cosy pyjamas, my slippers and pyjama bottoms are from primark. They are so warm and are a necessity in winter.

4. Once I'm all cosy in bed I will watch a movie. I chose to watch a very winter appropriate film - Frozen! One of my favourite disney films! I might also watch a few episodes of American Horror Story or a few YouTube videos!

So that is what I tend to do on a Friday evening to pamper myself after a tiring wee at school. A lot of these pictures are from my pastel themes Instagram (@_beautiegirl) so make sure you go and follow me! The link is in the side bar! Thanks for reading, bye!

Pink Plaid for Autumn - OOTD

It's that time of year where summer has disappeared and it is not acceptable to wear shorts or skirts without tights anymore as it's just too cold! But it's too hot to wear knit sweaters, scarves and coats. This is where transitional clothing pieces come in handy as they are appropriate for the not-yet-winter-but-not-quite-summer times.

I think the skater skirt adds quite a girly touch to the look and paired with the grey high neck top is an outfit I will be reaching for more often. High necks are going to be in this A/W so before they all sell out I would pick up one of these 'rib funnel' tops as they are called on the topshop website. I would've worn this outfit with my leather jacket, but it was far too much black and although black is nice sometimes, I didn't feel like wearing too much of it. So I chose this shirt from A&F and I think it goes quite nicely and adds a splash of colour as well as keeping me warm. Everything I am wearing in this outfit is listed below:

Pink Checked Shirt - Abercrombie & Fitch
Grey High Neck Top - Topshop
Black Skater Skirt - New Look
Necklace - Primark
Black Chunky Boots - New Look

How to Wear : Gingham Skirt

One of the latest trends I've been loving has been Gingham patterns. When I saw this skirt in New Look I fell in love and picked it up in the sale for a bargain of £8! I decided to do a post with how I would style it.

I paired it with a white lacey top as I didn't want to wear another pattern that would clash with the bold gingham print. So a lace top is a safer and subtle choice. The bag adds some colour to the outfit and I think it finishes of the look. I just accessorised with a gold necklace that matches the gold detailing on the bag. Put on some bracelets and rings and the outfit is complete!

Summer Essentials ~ Summer in the Sun

Hey beauties! So summer is finally here! Well it was here quite a while ago but oh well. As it is summer, I like to change things up a bit to be more summer appropriate, so here are my summer essentials!

Products in the photo
Pink sunglasses - River Island
Mint sunglasses - Primark
Marc Jacobs Daisy Summer Edition
Orange bag - H&M
Maybelline Baby Lips Pink Punch
Bourjois Colourboost Lip Crayon in Peach on the Beach
Benefit Sun Beam
Barry M Gelly Nail Paint in Papaya
Barry M Gelly Nail Paint in Grapefruit
Barry M Gelly Nail Paint in Greenberry
Barry M Gelly Nail Paint in Blueberry

Nails
I think in summer I like to go for quite bright and fun colours. I absolutely love the Barry M Hi-Shine Gelly range as they last very well, have a an amazing colour range and are a bargain! I have the shade Greenberry (the bright turquoise colour) and my sister kindly let me borrow her three shades which are Papaya (the orange), Grapefruit (the pink) and Blueberry (the blue.)

Fragrance
My favourite summer fragrance is definitely the Marc Jacobs Daisy Summer Edition, unfortunately this was last years' limited edition so you can't buy it anymore. But I remember they did have a summer edition for this year but I think they were sold around spring :( I know that this perfume kind of looks a but odd as it's got a yello colour, but that doesn't mean it smells weird. It smells so fun and fruity and delicious (I know, I'm terrible at describing scents haha.)

Make-up
I love bright lips in summer and the Maybelline Baby Lips in Pink Punch is such a lovely bright pink shade I couldn't say no. Plus, the smell is incredible and smells like fruit punch. The Bourjois Lip Crayon in Peach on the Peach is literally the perfect summer shade. It's bright, pink, peachy, colourful and looks amazing on the lips. Summer is also about bronzed skin and the Benefit Sun Beam would be perfect to help give you cheeks that summer glow.

Sunglasses
Unfortunately I bought these last summer so you probably won't be able to get your hands on them anymore, but you might still be able to find ones similar. The pink ones were from River Island and the mint ones are from Primark. I think bright sunglasses look really cute in summer. But I also love oversized round ones (still on the look out for them.)

Bags
The camera really doesn't do this bag any justice, it's supposed to be a bright orangey coral colour but the camera makes it look very different. Anyway, this bright mini satchel is from H&M and I think it is super cute and would look nice with a plain monochrome outfit to add a pop of colour.

Thank you for reading this blog post I hope you enjoyed it! Tell me what your summer essentials are! Have a nice day, bye!

Hey beauties! Today I have a different blog post, it's going to be a fashion post on how to wear holographic sandals. Recently I bought these holographic caged sandals with a white chunky cleated sole from TK MAXX. I was actually a bit stuck with how to wear them so I thought I would make to blog post to help think of ideas and to help any of you wondering how to wear chunky sandals like these. So I have put together an outfit that I would wear these shoes with. Hope you enjoy!

Februrary Favourites

Hey guys! I hope you're all having a nice day. So somehow we're already 1/4 of the way through the year! February is over so that means it's time for my monthly favourites (even though the last one I did was my October Favourites!) I always find doing monthly favourites really difficult because I often find myself choosing things that I've been loving towards the end of the month. So from now on I'm going to make a list of everything I've been loving through out March! Anyway here are the things I've been loving throughout February.

Victoria Secret Fragrance Mist in Mango Temptation

I purchased this gorgeous body spray at the end of December during the Boxing Day Sales. It's a really pretty pink and stood out to me when I was picking a fragrance. It is by far my favourite out of the VS sprays I own. "Mango, nectar and hibiscus." To be honest I can't really smell any of those in it probably because I don't actually know what they smell like. But to me (the worst person at describing scents) it smells like a juicy, fruity flower. Haha I did say I was bad at describing scents! I have really been loving this as its nice to just whip out and spray all over and walk out the door.

Maybelline Dream Pure BB Cream

This BB Cream is so good and I will be reviewing this very soon. This one is for oily skin and I have the shade light which I do think is too pink toned. However it is really lightweightand feels like a moisturiser, yet still provides coverage. I just really like using it as it evens out my skin tone and is super quick and easy to apply. Totally recommend trying this out.

Natural Collection Moisture Shine Lipstick Rose Petal

I've actually had this lipstick for quite a while. But recently I've really been loving it. It's a gorgeous nude with pink undertones. Perfect for spring. It's also really moisturising but I still like to apply a lip balm underneath. This lipstick is nicely pigmented and creamy; if you haven't already, then you should check out Natural Collection lipsticks as theyre only £1.99 but are great quality! Sorry I didn't take a photo of this product (and some other ones) but the lighting went really dark with this lipstick so it didn't look very nice.

Primark P.S Love Lip Gloss Crayon

I included this in my Lip Crayon blog post which you can view here. For £.1.50 this product is surprisingly really nice. Its really glossy and sheer, would've been better if it was more pigmented but I guess that would've made it more expensive haha. I've really been loving this crayon as it's really quick and easy to apply and not to bold.

Collection Super Size Mascara

I have done a review on this mascara so you can read more about that if you click here. This mascara is really natural and lengthening and I've been using it quite a lot. I'm not going to say a lot because I've gone into a lot of detail in my other blogpost.

Real Techniques Deluxe Crease Brush

Last month I used this brush quite a lot especially for concealer under the eyes. I know it is supposed to be used for the crease, but I think it's perfect for blending concealer under my eyes as it's not too big so it doesn't poke me in the eye! Also it is very dense so it really blends well. This brush comes in the Starter Set so unfortunately you can't buy it on its own.

Music

This month I have been loving a few artists such as Lorde, Haim, London Grammar and Miley Cyrus. Saying this, some of my favourite songs have been ones in the charts but I thought that you probably have heard of most of them so these are some different songs. Here are some of my favourites:

Lorde - Team
Haim - The Wire, If I Could Change Your Mind
London Grammar - Strong
Miley Cyrus - Drive, Adore You

I hope you have enjoyed this post and if you would like to follow me on Instagram my username is @_beautiegirl . Also please follow me on bloglovin and I will follow you back! Have a nice day, bye!

Battle of the Lip Crayons

Hey guys! Today's blog post is going to be comparing lip crayons. Back in 2013 when Clinique came out with their Chubby Sticks, many other brands decided to come out with their own editions of lip crayons. Bourjois came out with them, ModelsOwn, Rimmel, MUA and many more. You may be thinking that this blogpost is a year late and haha its true but today I'm going to be comparing the Bourjois, Revlon and Primark (yes I said it, Primark!!) lip crayons. Primark have recently came out with their P.S Love makeup range. I was watching Velvetgh0st and BeccaRose 's videos on YouTube as they both did a Primark haul which included this new beauty range. The products they mentioned looked quite nice and good quality so I decided to purchase some. Anyway enough about that and onto the blogpost. This blogpost includes the Revlon Colourburst Laquer Balm in 120 Vivacious, Primark P.S Lip Gloss Crayon in the nude shade (no name) and the Bourjois Colourboost Lip Crayon in Peach on the Beach.

Starting with the Revlon one. I included this in my Mini Haul blog post which you can view here . The shade I have is in 120 or Vivacious. It's a hot pink and is very glossy and pigmented. It comes out really bright so I don't tend to apply a lot. The Revlon Lip Crayons are very good and pigmented. I really want to get some more neutral shades as this one is quite bright. They also have a peppermint scent which can actually be quite mildly refreshing on the lips, however I'm not a fan of mint so I don't actually like it. For £7.99 these are very good. Definitely going to be purchasing more of these (though I have quite a lot of lip products already haha.)

The Primark lip crayon is actually quite nice. For £1.50 you can't exactly go wrong though can you? I got a nude browny shade, there was also a pale pink and another colour which I cant remember. These lip crayons are quite sheer though, so it's more of a gloss. But I think its quite nice that its sheer as I can wear it to school etc. To be honest I wasn't expecting it to be as good as maybe Revlon for eg, but surprisingly it's not bad. The bit where you twist it is a bit loose but it still works. Also it's really moisturising and glossy.

Moving on the the Bourjois Colourboost Lip crayon. I can remember when these came out in summer and everyone had it (except for me haha). But now I do have it and I'm glad I do. The lip crayons are so nice and are really pigmented! I have the shade Peach on the Beach which is a bright corally peach and I think it's perfect for summer. This is £8.99 which is £1 more expensive than the Revlon one.

My favourite lip crayon is probably the Revlon ones because they have a nice colour range and are really nice. Also they're cheaper than the Bourjois ones haha. But I do actually really like the Revlon ones and I totally recommend you give it a try. But I still recommend the other two, especially the Primark one seeing as it's a bargain! Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this blogpost and be sure to follow me on bloglovin and Instagram. Have a nice day, bye!
