The Perfect Duo from The Body Shop

For a while I have been lusting over two products from The Body Shop, then when I saw that they sold them together in a little set I was very close to buying it but in the end I didn't get it. Then recently for my birthday, my best friend kindly gave it to me as a present which I was so happy to receive as she knew that I had been wanting it. So after a few weeks away from blogging, now I am back and I am going to be reviewing The Body Shop Flawless Finish Collection.

This duo includes the All In One Instablur primer and the All In One BB Cream. These two products have been on my wish list for such a long time as I'd heard many good reviews about them. If you buy both of them separately it is £26, but in the set it is £20 which I think is quite a good deal! The packaging of both the products is very easy to use as it is a tube that you simply squeeze.

I'll start with the BB Cream, it reminds me slightly of the L'oreal BB Creams as it squeezes out as a white consistency which contains pigment particles. So once you rub and blend it in the pigment particles burst and release the skin tone colour. It is very easy to blend and feels very lightweight on my skin. The coverage is fairly low which is what I would expect in a BB Cream, but it does give the effect of blurring out my pores and blemishes. It also gives a really lovely dewy effect which is going to be so nice in summer (when the sun eventually comes out - typical English weather!) I will definitely be using this product when I want a really natural, fresh looking skin day! I am very pleased with this product and will definitely be repurchasing it when I run out!

I've heard lots of good things about the Instablur primer, and it's fair to say that I have not been disappointed by it! It is quite a thick primer, so of you're not into that then I wouldn't recommend it. And it is also not very suitable for people with dry skin, as it has a matte finish. This means that it helps to keep my skin matte during the day and not oily, which is just what I have been looking for! The primer also acts like a great base for applying makeup onto as the BB cream blends really well on top of the primer. Both the products work really well together, and I would recommend you buy the set if you like the sound of these two products. I am so happy that I received this for my birthday as it is works so well and I am very impressed with the formula of the products! Thank you for reading!

April Favourites

Today is time for another Monthly Favourites post. I have a few new beauty favourites this month, as I bought some new things recently.

Beauty

If you have been reading my blog for a while, you may know that the Maybelline One By One Mascara has been one of my favourites for a while. This is actually my second bottle because I love it so much I repurchased it. I featured it in my Favourite Four Mascara post if you want to read more on it.

A new discovery of mine this month has been the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet in 'Nud-ist'. I have a post all about it coming up, so more detail about that will be in that post. But I love the colour and the lasting-power is amazing, these lip products are incredible.  I will definitely be picking up more shades.

I also rediscovered a No7 eyeshadow (doesn't have a shade name on it) that I haven't used that much before. It is a brown/ grey/ taupe shade with a slight shimmer. I have found this to be such a natural all over the lid shade.

I have had a few break-outs this month and the one product I have found to really help with covering them up has been the Benefit Stay Don't Stray. It's a concealer and eyeshadow primer, I've been using it underneath my concealer as it makes it last much longer. I really like this and I always use it to cover anything that I want to stay covered the whole day!

Another new favourite for this month, also from Bourjois, is the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum. This is a foundation but it's more light and natural which is why I love it so much. I really like wearing this as it has such a perfect consistency. I really recommend this foundation if you are looking for a natural base.

My brush favourite for this month is the Real Techniques Setting Brush. I have been using it for blending my under eye concealer and setting it with powder. It's not really a brush that I hear much about, but it is still a real necessity in my brush collection.

The last beauty favourite for April has been The Body Shop Passionfruit Body Butter. If you have tried these body butters then you will know how moisturising, buttery and amazing they are! Also the Passionfuit scent is my favourite, it's so fruity and it smells lovely.

June Favourites

Hey beauties! Somehow we are already half way through the year already! June has flown by and now it is July which can only mean one thing, a monthly favourite! In the month of June a lot of fun things happened and has been one of the best months this year! Anyway let me get on with my favourite products.

Beauty

Earlier in June I picked up the Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation which I was a little bit unsure as to whether to buy it or not because the last time I bought a foundation it was completely the wrong and I barely used it. But I am really impressed with this foundation, it is light to medium coverage but I quite like that as it feels light on my skin. Also it is the perfect match to my skin and looks very natural.

For my birthday I asked for the Real Techniques Stippling Brush as I thought I might use it for cream blush, but actually I prefer to use it for foundation. I love the finish it creates when I use this, it looks really natural and blends really nicely. I don't actually use this for blush, I think fingers work better if I'm honest. I also like this brush for powder because of the duo fibres.

My friend got me the a Benefit Fine One One for my birthday and it is so so so nice. It is a cheek and lip trio that has a highlight, a pink and a orange. The formula is basically like a cream blush but in stick form. Once blended out it looks so natural and it is really easy to use. Love it!

I have never owned an eyebrow pencil so the Rimmel Professional Eyebrow Pencil is my first one. I a really glad I chose this as it is really easy to use and is not too creamy or too hard. I have the darkest shade which is Black Brown and I think it is the best colour match as it is an ashy colour not a red toned brown.

Another favourite of mine in June was the Revlon Lacquer Balm in Vivacious. It is a bright pinky red. I like to put a lip balm on underneath and then apply this so it is more sheer and not so bold. I absolutely love the formula of these lip Lacquers and the colour range is lovely too.

I have always loved the Body Shop Body Butters, so when I found they had a sale on them I was super happy. I picked up this lemon scent for £5 (originally £13!!) and can I just say how I am a fan of lemons, the smell and the taste haha. This body butter smells incredible and I am sad because it's finished now. :(

Non-Beauty

I've never actually included a book favourite, but in June I was reading Looking For Alaska by John Green and it is so good! It is funny, sad and keeps you turning the pages. Although I do not think it is John Green's best book, I still think it is a great book.

TV show-wise I have been loving Pretty Little Liars. I have been watching it for over a year now and I think it just gets better and better. The first 2 seasons drag on a bit but once you get to season 3/4 it begins to get more thrilling and interesting. If you have not seen it it is like a teen mystery drama about a group of 4 girls who's friend went missing and they try to uncover what happened to her.

So that is all of my favourites, I hope you enjoyed this blog post! Thank you for reading, bye!

March Favourites

Hey beauties! Wow I can't believe March is already over! I can remember doing my February favourites like it was yesterday. But as it's April now, it means that it's time for me to tell you my March Favourites.

MUA Lipstick in Shade 16 'Nectar'

This month I have really been loving orange lips. But this has been my personal favourite. It's a peachy orange with a pinkish undertone. I think this is a gorgeous colour for summer and isn't too bright and neon. For £1 I don't really think you can go wrong, the formula of the lipstick is amazing but the packaging is kind of tacky. But I have been loving this lipstick throughout March and I'm sure I will continue to love it.

The Body Shop Shea Lip Butter

My friend gave me this for Christmas and it came with three (Shea, Mango and Coconut) but this month I noticed myself reaching for this lip balm regularly. It smells really nice and creamy, normally I'm not a fan of nuts but I have been loving this! It's really smooth on the lips and because it is a lip butter it is very creamy and buttery.

Evoluderm Argan Oil for Hair

Earlier in March I picked up this as my previous hair serum product had run out. This one said it had Argan oil which is always good for the hair. I really like this as it reduces frizz in my hair and gives it moisture and shine which if you have curly hair like me is always a bonus. The smell isn't amazing but it's not a bad smell, could've been better. But nevertheless I have been using this product a lot.

Rimmel Skandal Eyes Kohl Kajal Pencil in Nude

I mentioned this eyeliner in my Spring 2014 - Nudes and Natural blog post but I only talked about it briefly. I love putting this on in my waterline to brighten up my eyes and make them appear bigger. This eyeliner is also really creamy so if you're looking for some good quality eyeliners definitely look into Rimmel as they are only £2-3. However I'm not exactly sure how I'm going to sharpen this as it's not like a pencil it's more of a crayon and it's very soft and creamy. But I have been loving this product this month as it's so quick and easy to use.

So that is all my favourites for this month, I know there isn't much but I'm sure in April I will have more on my favourites list! Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed! Bye!

Colours of the Rainbow Tag!

Hey beauties! Today's blog post is going to be a tag that I saw on YouTube going around. They said they tagged everyone so I chose to do it as well. If you haven't heard of this then it's pretty simple; you have to pick your favourite beauty items that are the same colours as the rainbow. However I've kind of changed it up a bit because I'm not really doing my favourite products. I just picked different products that weren't very similar to each other. So the colours I have done are red, orange, yellow, green, turquoise (blue), indigo (dark blue), violet (purple) and pink!

Red
For red I have chosen the Bourjois 3D Effect lip gloss. This lip gloss is so pigmented and not sticky at all. It's very glossy which is nice and it has a very nice smell. Sometimes lip glosses can smell slightly chemically however this one has a pleasant smell which I genuinely have no idea how to describe.

Orange
I'm not surprised that I chose this but it is the Maybelline Baby Lips in Cherry Me. I know, I know it's not actually orange but the packaging is which is what I've mainly chosen all of these products on. I absolutely love this lip product. It's basically a tinted lip balm but it is actually quite pigmented depending on how much you use. It adds a nice cherry colour to your lips and the smell is absolutely delicious! For £2.99 I definitely recommend these if you haven't tried them already.

Yellow
I think this was actually the only yellow product I have but its the Maybelline Colossum Mascara. Unfortunately this is practically run out so I don't use it that often but if you would like to see a full review of it click here.

Green
Like the mascara above this was the only green thing I had. It is a Vaseline in the Aloe Vera flavour. I've had this for a long time and it still hasn't run out but this is really nice to moisturise my lips.

Turquoise (blue)
I couldn't decide which product to choose but I've chosen the Porefessional by Benefit. This is so good and really helps to remove pores. It smoothens out my sking and softens it as well. I have a mini size which is perfect for travelling but the full size is much bigger.

Indigo (dark blue)
I have chosen a really basic product I know, sorry about that. I think that Nivea lip balms are essential and this is just the Original one. If your lips are getting dry then these are a life saver!

Violet (purple)
Another lip balm sorry! This is The Body Shop lip balm in Passionberry. I absolutely love the Body Shop's lip balms and Passionberry is by far my favourite. It doesn't come out purple so don't worry but it has a very very very faint tint which would probably show up if you put loads on. The smell of this though is just incredible! If I tried to describe it, I would probably end up describing it terribly wrong so I will leave you to find out when you smell it in the shop (you really should smell it.)

Pink
Now this was a tough one as I have a lot of products with pink on them. But I've decided to go with my Revlon Lip Butter in Sweet Tart as they are just so pretty and such amazing products! I have done a full review on these which you can see here. Revlon Lip Butters are such amazing products, they are so moisturising and are very pigmented at the same time. Definitely recommend these!

So that was my Colours Of the Rainbow Tag! I tag all of you to do this and if you have any requests for blog posts then please comment them down below! I hope you have enjoyed this and if you like my blog please follow it! Thanks for reading, bye!
