March Favourites

As it is the end of March (already?) it is time for my March Favourites! I didn't do a Favourites for last month, so a few of these things are also favourites from last month as well.

Beauty

A couple of weeks ago I picked up a new Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in the lightest shade, I used to have Shade 2 but I realised that it was a bit too dark for me. So now that I have it in the correct shade for me, I've been using it a lot more. You have probably heard lots about this concealer, but it is very affordable and is very high coverage.

In my Top Pink Products for Spring post, I mentioned the Topshop Cream Blush in Flush. As this blush is so appropiate for spring, I have been using it a lot recently seeing as it is now officially spring. I have a post all about it here.

A new favourite of mine is the L'Oreal Colour Riche Eyeliner in 120 Immaculate Snow. This white eyeliner is perfect to put on your water line to brighten up the eyes. It is so creamy and pigmented which makes it so easy to apply.

I have re-fallen in love with the Real Techniques Stippling Brush. I used to use it a lot for blush, but throughout this month I have used it for applying foundation or concealer. It blends it in so smoothly and evenly and doesn't apply the foundation too heavilly. It leaves the skin feeling like skin which I really like as sometimes different brushes can make the foundation feel heavy on the skin, but this brush doesn't do that.

I think I've saved the best till last. It is my MAC Lipstick in Patisserie. I have had this lipstick since last summer and although I don't wear it very often, this month I have used it a bit more than usual because it is such a pretty shade! It is a lustre finish so it does apply a bit more sheer but it leaves a nice glossy finish. Patisserie is the perfect everyday nude, it is basically a pinky brown shade but looks so natural!

Non-Beauty

I am going to see Insurgent in the cinema in a few days, so I wanted to read the book before I watched the film. So you may have guessed that the Insurgent Book is my favourite for this month, although I haven't actually finished it yet, it is very good so far!

Rose Gold Loving

I feel like spring is the time for me to whip out the pastel pinks, the natural nudes etc. But this year I've noticed myself wearing a lot more Rose Gold shades. It's such a spring like shade so I thought I would show you my favourite Rose Gold make up pieces for this spring!

The Eyes
The trend for Rose Gold eyes started when the Naked 3 palette was released. So many more brands brought out their own versions of the pink toned eyeshadows. However, if the Naked 3 palette is a little bit pricey for you and you are looking for a cheaper alternative, the w7 In the Nude Palette is a great dupe and I have a post all about this palette here. The colours are all gorgeous and there is a mix of shimmers and mattes. The packaging is also insanely similar to the Urban Decay palette! Something that I have rediscovered recently in my makeup is the No7 eyeshadow in Antique Rose. It is a stunning pink with gold shimmer. I love products that are quick and easy to use, so I especially love the Collection Eye Crayon in Vintage Blush. It glides and blends really easily and looks so natural on your eyes,

The Blush
Undoubtedly, I have chosen to include the Sleek blush in Rose Gold which is included in the Sleek Contour Palette. The blush in this palette is such a stunning pink with gold shimmers, which gives the blush a highlighting effect, perfect for spring!

The Lips
Going along with the rose golds and shimmery pinks, I have been loving the Revlon Lacquer Balm in Demure. I have mentioned these lip crayons so much on my blog so I don't want to go on about them too much. But the formula of this is so lovely, it is nice and sheer which makes it more natural to wear.

As you can see, I have a little obsession with rose gold makeup at the moment. What are your favourite trends for this spring?

Top Pink Products for Spring

One of my favourite colours to wear in Spring is Pink. It just seems like such a spring appropriate colour, corals and brighter neon colours are more summer. But neutral and pastels are always in for spring! I have put together my favourite pink products that are perfect for this spring.

Blush and Eyes

My favourite brand for when it comes to blushes is definitely Sleek. The products are amazing quality and really pigmented. I have the Sleek Blush in Pixie Pink. It's a gorgeous bright pink that is just the right pigmentations, by this I mean it isn't too bright but not too subtle. Just right!

The other blush in the photo is from Topshop and its a cream blush in the shade Flush. It's a cream to powder formula so it blends nicely and gives your cheeks a nice pink flush, hence the name :D

I have a little eyeshadow that is so pretty, the swatch of it doesn't show how stunning it is in real life! It's from No7 in Antique Rose and is a lovely gold and pink eyeshadow. It is nice and shimmery but also very natural at the same time!

Lips

If you've been reading my blog for a while, you may know that I do love my pink lispticks. I find them so easy to wear and they can suit anyone with any skin tones! For this post I decided to pick out my most pink lipsticks that would be perfect for spring. Most of my favourite lip products are from Revlon, so I have included the Revlon Matte Balm in Elusive. This is a gorgeous medium toned pink, its so natural and is also really creamy and not at all drying.

I also love the Revlon Lip Butters and I chose the shade Strawberry Shortcake. The lip butters from Revlon are so hydrating and feel like lip balms, this shade is a light nude pink and is such a nice spring shade.

I think MAC lipsticks are such amazing quality so I couldn't not include it in this post, its the MAC lipstick in Chatterbox. Again, its a very pretty everyday pink. Finally, to change things up a bit I have included a lip gloss.

It is the Tanya Burr lipgloss in Aurora. I absolutely love this lip gloss, especially the name. Its actually very good quality and I have a whole post dedicated to it here.

Brushes

I know, I know, I only chose these brushes because of their pink packaging. But it was too pretty to ignore and just fitted nicely with the post! So from top to bottom in the picture (they are all from Real Techniques by the way, I'll just tell you the name of the brush.) Multitasking Brush which I use for powder and sometimes blending in foundation, Setting Brush which I use to blend my under eye concealer and the Stippling Brush which I love to use for foundation.

So those are my top pink products for spring. I hope you enjoyed this post and tell me your Top Spring Products in the comments below! Thank you for reading.

Glowing Skin for Spring

So I think it's fair to say that I've been a bit bored of winter, I can't wait for it to be warmer and summery. And I've certainly noticed that it is getting a lot sunnier nowadays. Which means spring is here! My favourite trends for spring time is dewy and glowing skin and also pink is my favourite for spring! (Hint for my next post perhaps?) So I have put together some of my favourite products that I love to use to give my skin that radiant look.

Benefit High Beam and Watts Up
These two mini Benefit highlighters are perfect to make your cheekbones look glowing. They are also really easy to use; the High Beam is a liquid highlighter which means you only need a tiny amount for it to work. The Watts Up is a stick so you can easily swipe it on your cheeks and blend for glowing cheek bones.

Rimmel Wake me Up Concealer
One of my favourite concealers is the Rimmel Wake me Up, purely because it is so brightening. It contains tiny shimmer particles (don't worry it's hardly noticeable) which help to reflect light. This gives your skin a really brightened effect and helps to brighten the under eyes and cheek bone area. Also, this concealer is really affordable and blends really nicely.

Sleek Contour Palette (Highlight)
One of my favourite contour palettes is the Sleek palette. I think I've talked about this a number of times on my blog, so I won't go into too much detail. But I like to use the highlighter in this sometimes to highlight my cheeks. It is a powder highlighter so it could look a bit unnatural if you use too much. But it's quite a light and not too pigmented which I think is a good thing but I suppose it could also be a bad thing.

Benefit That Gal Primer
Again, another Benefit mini of mine. But this time it's a primer. This primer is supposed to be illuminating and give your skin a radiant look. I will admit, it is quite a subtle illuminating primer, but I would rather have it subtle than too strong! Not only is it slightly brightening, but it also helps keep my makeup on which is a bonus.

So as you can see, there is a wide range of products that can help give glowy skin, from concealers to primers to highlighters! Thank you for reading, what are your favourite highlighters?

Where Have I Been?

You may have noticed that I haven't been posting for a few weeks, but don't worry because I'm back and I'm going to be posting a lot more often.

So the reason that I've been gone is because I have had exams at school. But I needed the time to revise as I had a lot of subjects to learn. So I am sorry for the lack of posts recently, but I hope you understand why!

I will be posting, hopefully, two times a week from now on like I used to. On Saturday (sometimes Sunday) and Wednesday (sometimes Sunday.)

Thank you for reading and I'll see you in my next post!
