Brand Focus - Barry M

Hey beauties! Today I have decided to do a blog post all about the brand Barry M. I think Barry M was one of the first makeup brands I really liked, I can remember picking up one of the lipsticks when I was 11/12 (you'll see which one.) The price is really affordable and I really want to try out some new products from there. I have not included nail varnishes but I really recommend Barry M's Gelly Nail varnishes! I am basically just going to talk about the products that I own from Barry M if you didn't know what I mean by Brand Focus.

Lip Paint - £4.49

I own 4 of their lipsticks, two of which are really similar and very bright (these are the ones I bought when I was younger.) The first colour is 146 Dolly Pink and it is a bright barbie pink. This did look very different in the tester at the shop. It is really bright and I don't wear this too often but it is nice for parties etc. I feel like all the lipsticks have a different finish depending on the shade? I think it's just me but some are moisturising and some are matte. But Dolly pink is nice and moisturising and lasts forever. It took me ages to get it off my hand from the swatches!

The next colour is 153 Pink Ribbon, this is my favourite out of the 4 and my friend actually bought me this. It's probably the most wearable compared to the rest. It is a slightly reddish pink but can look quite natural. This is quite moisturising and again, lasts a very long time! I really like this shade and I have nothing like it in my makeup collection.

For the next colour you may be thinking why I have a green lipstick. But don't worry! It doesn't come out green haha, it is the TMLP lipstick which stands for Touch of Magic Lip Paint but I just think it stands for Turn My Lips Pink. It comes out pink as you can see in the swatches. It's quite pigmented but this lipstick is a bit different. When you apply it it's sort of sheer but then it turns into a dark berry pink. This lipstick can be different though depending on the pH of your lips so don't apply loads all at once or it will turn out very vibrant after a few seconds! I really like this lipstick and the only problem I've had is that it tends to leave a very vibrant stain around the inner area of my lip where your lips meet. Also it does stain your lips and doesn't come off particularly easily.

The last shade is the lipstick I bought when I was about 11. It is called 52 Shocking Pink. Basically, it is a neon pink. It is very matte and very drying which means it clings to the dry skin. This lipstick is very blue toned and I have no idea why I bought this. I never wear it buy maybe I could wear it for Halloween haha. No but seriously though I only recommend this if you are a very bold lip type of person but in all honesty I don't recommend this.

Lip Gloss Wands - £4.49

The red shade is actually a limited edition, it is shade 201. It is very pigmented and glossy and smells so nice! These lip glosses all have smells which match the name but unfortunately I do not know the name of this one. But it sort of smells like cherries but I don't know if I'm right haha.

The pink shade is shade 5 and its called Bubblegum. The name basically describes it! It's a bubblegum pink and smells just like bubblegum hence the name haha. These lipglosses are really nice because they aren't sticky but they are nice and glossy.

The last shade is called Toffee and is shade 2. This is a gorgeous nude brown shade and looks so nice. I really recommend these lip glosses and I think they are really under-rated.

Palettes - £6.49

The first one is the Natural Glow palette. The packaging for this is really nice and it looks quite similar to the Naked Basics palette. The pigmentation of these palettes aren't amazing but they are really nice for a light, natural eye look.

The purple palette is the Glamour Puss palette and I think this was limited edition (well it says it on the front so it must be!) This is a lot more daring and colourful than the other palette but it is still quite wearable. All the shades are shimmery so they are suitable for a party or night out. The blush colour is a bright pink but I don't really wear them that much.

So that is my Barry M collection! I hope you enjoyed and sorry it was quite long. If you would like to see more posts from me then follow me on bloglovin! Thanks for reading and have a nice day!

Nail Wheel

Hey beauties! So today I have a really random blog post but I thought I'd show you my nail wheel. This nail wheel came with a nail varnish from Ciaté and it comes with 20 plastic nail shapes to paint. I decided to not paint it in order of colour but in brand. So I used a Ciaté nail varnish, O.P.I, Essie and Barry M. I am really happy with how this turned out and I will definitely be buying some more nail wheels in the future. Here are some pictures of the nail wheel.

The first colour is my Ciaté one and then the next four O.P.I's which have pinky colours are from the Couture de Minnie collection which is a Minnie Mouse collection. The next four O.P.I's are from the Rock Goddess collection. I then have my Essies and after that are my Barry Ms. Also the glittery Barry Ms didn't have a name and they just said Boots/Superdrug Limited Edition on the bottom.

I hope you liked this blog post and if you would like request for any posts please comment down below!

Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner Review

Hey beauties! Today I am going to review the Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner. This is a gel eyeliner but in a pot. I have the black colour but I think they also come in brown and purple, I'm sure they have other colours as well.

I like using this to just line my eyes and define them a bit more. It is really easy to apply and glides on very nicely. It has a matte finish which I like because it looks slightly more natural and subtle. Pigmentation-wise I would give this a 8/10 because sometimes I have to keep going over to create a smooth and even line. But sometimes if you want a softer look it is nice that the colour isn't so jet black. The formula of this is really nice though and I really like this.

It does come with a small brush which is helpful if you don't already have one. But personally I don't use it as it is very hard and feels sharp on my eyes. Also it goes even harder if you do not wash it after every time you use it when, let's be honest, you can't always be bothered to wash it. Especially if you use it everyday. I prefer to use the Real Techniques Fine Liner Brush or the Brow Brush. But you could always use any brush you prefer.

Overall this product is really nice and I really like it. It lasts a very long time and does not smudge or budge at all. It is even quite difficult for me to remove at the end of the day. Therefore I erally recommend this and you can pick this up from Boots or Superdrug. Thanks for reading and have a nice day! Bye!

Outfit - Greys, Blacks and Mint Green

Top - Primark
Necklace - Primark
Skirt - New Look
Bag - Primark
Sunglasses - Primark (from last year)

Hey beauties! This is my first ever fashion type of post and I'm quite nervous to post it. This is my outfit of the day, it's quite basic but I added a statement necklace to pull the look together. Also I think the mint green sunglasses gave it a bit more colour (and I was kind of squinting in most of the photos without them because the sun was so bright haha!) The weather was absolutely lovely today so I did not need to wear tights (which I normally would've done as it can be quite chilly.) As you can see a lot of what I'm wearing is from primark but I just think primark is so affordable and they have really upped their game accessories-wise. You may have noticed that I haven't captured my feet or shoes in the photos because I was actually wearing flip flops as I was just in the garden! So sorry that I have cropped my feet out in all of the photos.

Anyway I hope you enjoyed my outfit post and if you would like more outfit type of looks then please tell me in the comments! Hope you have a nice day, bye!

The Body Shop Lip Balms Review

Hey beauties! Today I thought I would review the Body Shop lip balms! I have quite a few of these, 5 to be precise. The flavours I have are Passionberry, Strawberry, Raspberry, Watermelon and Satsuma. As you can see Passionberry and Strawberry have different packaging because it is the old packaging. My sister also has two more flavours which are Mango and Pink Guava, however I am not sure if they still sell these anymore.

The Body Shop are known for their fruity and yummy fragranced products, my personal favourite scent is by far Passionberry, although I love the Mango scent as well. These lip balms certainly have a lovely fruity fragrance. They all smell of what they're called so I'm not going to go into detail about each scent as I'm not very good at describing. They smell amazing and sometimes I just feel like I want to eat it haha!

I think the packaging is super cute, but to be honest I prefer the old packaging. They all match the colour of the product which is in the little pot. I'm not to keen on potted lip balms because the products gets all over your nails and then after you've put it on you have no where to wipe your hands. It's a bit of a mess as my hands are always sticky after I use this.

The actual product is very nice, not so much moisturising but it does make my lips feel glossy. I wouldn't really suggest this if you are looking for a product that can help with dry lips as I feel this lip balm doesn't even do any good to my lips. In fact sometimes I think it actually makes my lips dry which makes me feel the need to put more on. But who knows, that could just be me I'm not sure. For £2 these are very good and affordable. They are also very slightly tinted, but not that much.

I'd say these are more of a lip gloss in a pot than a lip balm and the best thing about them is the scent. So if you are looking for a lip balm that will save your lips from being dry, definitely invest yourself in a Vaseline etc. But these are very cute and smell incredible.

Thanks for reading this blogpost I hope you enjoyed it! Bye!

March Favourites

Hey beauties! Wow I can't believe March is already over! I can remember doing my February favourites like it was yesterday. But as it's April now, it means that it's time for me to tell you my March Favourites.

MUA Lipstick in Shade 16 'Nectar'

This month I have really been loving orange lips. But this has been my personal favourite. It's a peachy orange with a pinkish undertone. I think this is a gorgeous colour for summer and isn't too bright and neon. For £1 I don't really think you can go wrong, the formula of the lipstick is amazing but the packaging is kind of tacky. But I have been loving this lipstick throughout March and I'm sure I will continue to love it.

The Body Shop Shea Lip Butter

My friend gave me this for Christmas and it came with three (Shea, Mango and Coconut) but this month I noticed myself reaching for this lip balm regularly. It smells really nice and creamy, normally I'm not a fan of nuts but I have been loving this! It's really smooth on the lips and because it is a lip butter it is very creamy and buttery.

Evoluderm Argan Oil for Hair

Earlier in March I picked up this as my previous hair serum product had run out. This one said it had Argan oil which is always good for the hair. I really like this as it reduces frizz in my hair and gives it moisture and shine which if you have curly hair like me is always a bonus. The smell isn't amazing but it's not a bad smell, could've been better. But nevertheless I have been using this product a lot.

Rimmel Skandal Eyes Kohl Kajal Pencil in Nude

I mentioned this eyeliner in my Spring 2014 - Nudes and Natural blog post but I only talked about it briefly. I love putting this on in my waterline to brighten up my eyes and make them appear bigger. This eyeliner is also really creamy so if you're looking for some good quality eyeliners definitely look into Rimmel as they are only £2-3. However I'm not exactly sure how I'm going to sharpen this as it's not like a pencil it's more of a crayon and it's very soft and creamy. But I have been loving this product this month as it's so quick and easy to use.

Music

Frozen songs - Let it Go, For the First Time in Forever
Disclosure - F for You

So that is all my favourites for this month, I know there isn't much but I'm sure in April I will have more on my favourites list! Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed! Bye!
