Lip Crayon Obsession

I've slowly grown an obsession with Lip Crayons and I thought I would share with you the collection that I have!

The first 3 are all from Revlon and I think these have to be my favourite! The first one is the Revlon Matte Balm in 'Elusive', it has a really creamy consistency and isn't drying at all! The next 2 are both the Revlon Laqcquer Balms in shades: 'Vivacious' and 'Demure'. I think demure has to be my all time favourite as it's the perfect nude! Vivacious is also a really nice bold pink shade.

The 4th lip crayon is the newest to my collection, I got it for Christmas and it's from Collection. It's the Collection Work the Colour Lip Butter in 'Vintage Rose'. It's a browny pink nude and is very creamy. I don't really have a shade like it so I really like this lip crayon!

Last but not least ( I can assure you I will probably have more lip crayons in the future!) is the Bourjois Colourboost in the shade Peach on the Beach. If you've been reading my blog for a while, you'll know that I was obsessed with this product last summer as it's such a pretty peachy summery shade!

As you can see lip crayons are really my favourite! What are your favourite lip crayons?

How To: Winged Eyeliner

When it comes to winged eyeliner, I'm really not an expert. In fact, I'm actually really bad at it, but I've found a really easy method to help make it a little bit easier as I'm sure we've all had trouble trying to get the perfect flick.

Step 1: The Eyeliner
Trying to do winged liner can be really difficult it the actual product itself isn't very good. I like using felt tip liners at first to get the shape right as they are really easy and precise to use. The one I like is the Collection 24 Hour Felt Tip Liner. I then go in with another Collection eyeliner, it's the Collection a Work the colour Eyeliner. This has a more wet and darker formula and is a bit more messy if you go wrong, which is why I like to use it second.

Step 2: The Flick
The way I acctually do the winged liner, is firstly just draw a fine line very close to your lash line. Then to do the flick you want to picture a line from the end of your eyebrow to the outer edge of you eye. Then just draw a straight line for the flick, but don't make it too long! Keep some cotton buds nearby incase it goes wrong!

Step 3: Connecting the Lines
Right now your eyeliner might not look very smooth and probably quite harsh. You'll want to join up the flick with the fine line along the lash line by creating almost a triangle, I'm not exactly sure how to explain it but hopefully you get the gist. Then just fill it in and you have your winged eyeliner!

It does take a bit of practice (and concentration) to master the winged eyeliner, I definitely haven't mastered it yet! It takes me many tries and a long time to do it. But hopefully these tips helped you! Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed!

Skincare Routine

I realised I don't really talk much about Skincare on my blog, probably because I don't really have a very exciting Skincare routine. It's very simple and basic but I thought I would share it with you all anyway.

So to remove my makeup, I use the Garnier Miscellar Cleansing water. I bought this recently after hearing about how amazing it was from other fellow beauty bloggers and lovers. It quickly removed my makeup, even eye makeup and it also feels very calm and gentle on my skin. I really recommend this as it's cheap and works incredibly.

After cleansing my skin, I will use my Garnier Refreshing Toner to tone my face. I have very mixed opinions on this as it works well, but is not suitable for sensitive skin. It has is very strong and has that alcohol (like nail varnish remover) scent to it, which isn't very nice when you're putting that on your face. Apart from that, I think it works really well to purify my face. But I would say do not buy this if you have sensitive skin, and maybe use it every other day.

Then I will moisturise my face using the Nivea night cream. I absolutely love using this to hydrate my face, it's a really good moisturiser!

So that is everything I do to remove my makeup and cleanse my face at the end of the day! I hope you enjoyed this post, thanks for reading!

A New Mascara Favourite

If you saw my most recent post which was a January Favourites, you will know that recently I have been loving the L'oreal Volume Million Lashes mascara. And you can probably tell by the title, that this post is all about that mascara!

Firstly, let's just take a moment to adore the packaging of thinks mascara, but to be honest loreal packaging is always on point! It always looks very classy and good quality, I think the gold and purple look so nicely together as well.

The mascara has a plastic applicator; but it is much softer and has very small bristles. I really like this about the mascara, because although it is more gentle, it still lengthens and defines my lashes very nicely! It works instantly to make my lashes look fuller and much longer. Most mascaras take a bit of time for them to work, but this mascara is so quick and not clumpy at all! I really recommend this mascara if you want long and fluttery lashes as this mascara is amazing at doing that!

January Favourites

Its weird to think the first month of 2015 has come and gone. But just like at the end of every month, its time for my monthly favourites!

Beauty

Sadly, my Collection concealer is coming to the end, so I have been using my Rimmel Wake me Up Concealer a lot more. This is a very brightening concealer, I have noticed there are tiny winy shimmer particles in it, but they are so small you can barely even notice it! I just love this concealer under my eyes, it instantly brightens and makes me look more awake, hence the name.

I have discovered a new mascara favourite which I have a post all about coming up this month! Its the L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes mascara and oh my gosh its incredible! My lashes are so long and curly after I use this and they are so defined and look amazing!

Although I have read many mixed reviews on the Maybelline Baby Skin Primer, I think it is a really good product. I can feel that my makeup lasts a lot longer when I use this and it smoothens out my skin and leaves it feeling very soft! However it doesn't have any coverage or change the appearance of my skin, which is what I thought it was going to do. But apart from that I think its a very good product!

Non-Beauty

If you follow me on instagram, you would've seen some of my posts on my new journal that I picked up last week from TK MAXX. It is so adorable and says "Leave a little kindness wherever you go" which I think is a really cute quote. I am obsessed with it at the moment, the pink and gold just look so lovely together and I have already started writing and doodling inside it. The journal is just a really nice way for me to be organised and write about really random things that I want to write about!

Books

I know I am like SUPER late on the bandwagon with this, but a few days ago I had never read (or seen) Divergent, shocking I know! But I started reading the book at the end of January and I literally couldn't put it down! I finished it in about 3 days which is really fast for me as I am actually a very slow reader. I just think the whole storyline is really good and its a very easy read book. Now I just need to watch the film and get the next book in the trilogy!

Music

I know I featured this in my Current Favourites post in the beginning of January, but I am still in love with 1989 by Taylor Swift. Though I am beginning to get a little bit bored of it, but only because I listened to it so many times. But in a few months I will rediscover it again, I always do that with albums! Anyway, I am including this in my January favourites because I was loving it in the beginning of the month, but not as much anymore!

That is all of my favourites for last month! I hope you enjoyed this blog post, thank you for reading!

The 1 Minute Makeup Products

Ever been in a rush and you have 1 minute to do your makeup? Well, you don't need to worry anymore as I have picked out some time saving makeup products that will take 1 minute to apply! From eye makeup, to lips and even blush and highlight, these products are super quick and easy to use.

For cheeks, I have chosen the Benefit Fine One One cream blush because it is so fast and easy to use (as are most of these products.) But this product is different from any ordinary blush because you only need to swipe the trio shades across your cheeks, blend and done! As you can see there are 3 colour of blush shades (including a shimmery highlight) which blend perfectly together. I also just want to add how gorgeous the packaging is, its a really pretty rose gold shade! If you don't want to use a blush, then a highlight is a great way to instantly brighten your face. Again, a Benefit product(their cheek products are amazing!) I have chosen the Benefit High Beam. As it is a liquid highlighter, all you have to do is dot a few blobs on the tops of your cheekbones and blend. Super quick and takes literally about 15 seconds!

If you are in rush, you'd probably skip the eye shadow, but these cream eyeshadows take no hard work and effort whatsoever. The Maybelline Colour Tattoo in On and On Bronze will probably take a bit more time to blend as it is quite a dark colour. But if you want to create a nice bronze eye shadow look, then this is great for that! The creamy consistency is very easy to use and it blends like a dream. I also wanted to include the Collection Work the Colour Eye Crayon in Vintage Blush because it literally takes me about 5 seconds to apply, seriously! Its a gorgeous shimmery pink shade so it is very natural and easy to blend as well!

The Soap and Glory Thick and Fast Mascara was made for this blog post haha, the name is very fitting! But I think the actual mascara does live up to the name, it works very fast and is a very volumising mascara. The brush is very thick which allows it to work quicker and leaves my lashes looking full and volumised. I really do like this mascara, it's definitely one of my favourites!

Finally for lips, I think Lip Crayons are great for when you are in a rush. The lip crayons I have included in the picture are the Collection Work the Colour Lip Crayon in Vintage Rose and the Revlon Matte Balm in Elusive. Both are very pretty pink and natural shades and take a few seconds to apply.

So that is all my 1 minute makeup products for when you are in a rush. I hope you enjoyed this blog post and thank you for reading!
