Collection Super Size Mascara Review

Hey guys! Today's blog post is going to be a review on the Collection Super Size Fat Lash Mascara. Quite a long name haha. This mascara retails at £2.99 and my one is in brown. At first I wasn't expecting this mascara to be very good because to be honest, cheap mascaras aren't always the best. But I was quite shocked when I first used it. The packaging is very bright and colourful and the writing doesn't scratch of like the Collection concealer.

I have the colour brown because, why not?! I've never had a brown mascara before and I think it would look a lot more natural and subtle for maybe a 'no makeup' makeup day. The wand is fairly average and nothing too special. It applies really easy and doesn't pick up too much of the product all at once.

This mascara really lengthens my lashes and looks really natural instead of really heavy and thick. The 'Fat Lash' bit in the name of the mascara is a bit of an exaggeration in my opinion. Personally I don't think its very volumising, more lengthening. Though it is still a very nice mascara  and isn't clumpy which I find some mascaras to be like.

The only problem I've had is that it can smudge under my eyes during the day. I have combination skin and sometimes it can be quite oily so I guess that doesn't help. So I don't tend to put this on my bottom eyelashes. Also the mascara I have isn't waterproof.

Over all though this mascara is really good especially for the price. I never really purchase products (except for their concealers haha) so this products makes me want to try out some of their other less popular products. If you're looking for a mascara that's affordable and good quality; then definitely check this out. Thanks for reading this post, have a nice day!

Battle of the Lip Crayons

Hey guys! Today's blog post is going to be comparing lip crayons. Back in 2013 when Clinique came out with their Chubby Sticks, many other brands decided to come out with their own editions of lip crayons. Bourjois came out with them, ModelsOwn, Rimmel, MUA and many more. You may be thinking that this blogpost is a year late and haha its true but today I'm going to be comparing the Bourjois, Revlon and Primark (yes I said it, Primark!!) lip crayons. Primark have recently came out with their P.S Love makeup range. I was watching Velvetgh0st and BeccaRose 's videos on YouTube as they both did a Primark haul which included this new beauty range. The products they mentioned looked quite nice and good quality so I decided to purchase some. Anyway enough about that and onto the blogpost. This blogpost includes the Revlon Colourburst Laquer Balm in 120 Vivacious, Primark P.S Lip Gloss Crayon in the nude shade (no name) and the Bourjois Colourboost Lip Crayon in Peach on the Beach.

Starting with the Revlon one. I included this in my Mini Haul blog post which you can view here . The shade I have is in 120 or Vivacious. It's a hot pink and is very glossy and pigmented. It comes out really bright so I don't tend to apply a lot. The Revlon Lip Crayons are very good and pigmented. I really want to get some more neutral shades as this one is quite bright. They also have a peppermint scent which can actually be quite mildly refreshing on the lips, however I'm not a fan of mint so I don't actually like it. For £7.99 these are very good. Definitely going to be purchasing more of these (though I have quite a lot of lip products already haha.)

The Primark lip crayon is actually quite nice. For £1.50 you can't exactly go wrong though can you? I got a nude browny shade, there was also a pale pink and another colour which I cant remember. These lip crayons are quite sheer though, so it's more of a gloss. But I think its quite nice that its sheer as I can wear it to school etc. To be honest I wasn't expecting it to be as good as maybe Revlon for eg, but surprisingly it's not bad. The bit where you twist it is a bit loose but it still works. Also it's really moisturising and glossy.

Moving on the the Bourjois Colourboost Lip crayon. I can remember when these came out in summer and everyone had it (except for me haha). But now I do have it and I'm glad I do. The lip crayons are so nice and are really pigmented! I have the shade Peach on the Beach which is a bright corally peach and I think it's perfect for summer. This is £8.99 which is £1 more expensive than the Revlon one.

My favourite lip crayon is probably the Revlon ones because they have a nice colour range and are really nice. Also they're cheaper than the Bourjois ones haha. But I do actually really like the Revlon ones and I totally recommend you give it a try. But I still recommend the other two, especially the Primark one seeing as it's a bargain! Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this blogpost and be sure to follow me on bloglovin and Instagram. Have a nice day, bye!

What's in My School Makeup Bag?

Hey guys! I'm here with another blogpost on my school makeup bag featuring my sisters floral duvet which she isn't particularly happy about me using woops! Sometimes during the school day I like to 'polish' my makeup up if I need to. For example suring summer I would powder my face to ensure I'm not too oily; and in winter I would apply lip balm so my lips don't get chapped. If I'm going to be doing this during the school day then I'll need a bag to put all my makeup in, so here's what's in my makeup bag!

I only have the essentials in my bag and not everything that I wear in the morning. So my makeup bag is from Forever 21 and it's just a white bag with a quilted pattern and black lining. It also has a cute little black bow on it. Inside I have a Natural Collection Pressed Powder, Maybelline Babylips in Cherry Velvet, Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer (which I haven't took pictures of as I completely forgot to), Eversense Spray, No7 Mascara and a Mirror.

Natural Collection Pressed Powder
I genuinely have 3 of these haha. One of which I keep in my makeup bag. It's just a simple pressed powder which apply if my skin has become a little but oily throughout the day. I keep a soft applicator type of thing in the powder as I don't bring a brush to school. Also excuse my chipped nails, it was a silver crackle nail varnish with white underneath before, but then they got a bit chipped!

Maybelline Babylips in Cherry Velvet
I bought this when I was in Thailand in summer, I believe it was actually limited edition in boots over Christmas but I don't think you can get it anymore. It's just a clear lip balm. I don't bring a tinted one to school as my school is quite strict with makeup and we're not allowed lipsticks etc. This lip balm is really nice though as it smells of cherrys and is really moisturising.

Eversense Spray
This is a spray I picked up in Thailand. It actually smells really nice considering it was like the equivalent of £1 (roughly, I can't remember.) The one I have is called Sassy Blue (the name makes me laugh I don't know why!) and it smells really sweet and fresh. I keep this in my bag just incase I need it after P.E etc.

No7 Intense Volume Mascara
I like to keep a mini mascara in my makeup bag just incase I need to apply it, maybe I will have swimming and afterwards I will need a mascara. To be honest this isn't really an essential I just always keep it in there. It's not exactly the best but it's small which is why I keep it in there.

Mirror
I also picked up this mirror in thailand as it's so cute and inside it comes with a comb (which I don't use.) The mirror is a nice size and not too small so I just keep it in there in case I need it.

So that is what's inside my makeup bag! I hope you enjoyed this blogpost and if you'd like to see a school makeup tutorial then comment below! Thanks for reading and have a nice day, bye!

Revlon Lip Butter Review

Hey guys! Hope you're all having a nice day! Today I'm going to be reviewing the Revlon Lip Butters. These beauties have been all over the internet, on Instagram on blogs etc! They are like a lipstick and a lip balm mixed together I'd say. These lip butters retail at £7.99, a little bit overpriced I think, but the packaging and actual product is gorgeous. I have 3 lip butters in 080 Strawberry Shortcake, 053 Sorbet and 090 Sweet Tart. The lip butters' names are all related to food, some other names are Macaroon, Berry Smoothe and Tutti Fruity.

The packaging of the products are very nice, they have a quilted patterned lid all with different colours. The amount of product though is quite disappointing. There is not that much and as some of the lip butters are quite sheer you use more. So the fact that there isn't much product is the only down side. Apart from that I really like the lip butters. The darker colours are more pigmented than the paler colours and nudes. They are really moisturising and smooth. One thing I'm a bit confused about is I think they melt? Not properly but around the edges of the lip butter on the silver bit it's sort of melted. Though this is probably because they're so buttery haha.

The palest colour I have is Strawberry Shortcake. It's a really pretty shimmery pale pink that is a gorgeous nude. It's quite sheer but is very buildable as well. I bought this quite recently (in my haul blog post which you can view here.)

The next one I have is called Sorbet and is the darkest out of the three I have. It's a gorgeous hot pink but it's not too bright and can look quite natural with just a little bit on. I sometimes wear a tiny bit of this to school to add a nice pop of colour onto my lips.

The last one I have is called Sweet Tart and is slightly similar to sorbet but is a little bit lighter. It is a bright pink and is really pretty and moisturising. I really like this one as it's perfect for summer and spring.

So that was my review on the Revlon Lip Butters. I totally recommend them as they are really moisturising and pretty. Plus the colour range is so nice! I hope you enjoyed this blog post and if you like my blog then please follow me on bloglovin! Have a nice day, bye!

Benefit They're Real Review

Hey guys! Today's blog post is going to be a review on the much talked about Benefit's They're Real Mascara. I've heard a lot of good things about this product and when I recieved it in a Benefit set for Christmas I was very happy. I was shocked as it was full size and normally they give you a sampler size, but oh well I'm not complaining! Anyway, on with the review :)

My first impressions on this mascara when I first opened it was that it was a plastic applicator. I never really use plastic ones as I prefer the fiber ones. I also noticed that it has a different brush with bristles on the end. The box it came in says 'A specially designed brush reveals lashes you never knew you had!' The bristles on the end of the brush are designed to reach and grab the lashes in the corners of your eyes. I found this really cool about the brush as it was different and I have never seen this before.

When applying the actual mascara I found it really satisfying to apply (sounds weird I know haha) because the plastic bristles really grasped and lengthened my lashes. I could really feel the brush lengthening my lashes and separating them. I like the brush as there are lots of bristles which means it's not going to become clumpy. The outcome of the mascara is really nice, it really lengthens my lashes and really curls them as well. Also they are not too clumpy and the lashes are nicely separated.

The actual formula of the mascara is nice and lasts long throughout the day. I wore this to a party the other day and it didn't smudge or uncurl, it stayed the same since the moment I put it on. One problem I've had with this mascara is that it is very very difficult to remove. Normally when I remove my makeup I use cotton pads and makeup remover and remove the rest in the shower, however I had to use a makeup wipe to remove this because a cotton pad wasn't enough. So just warning you you made need some extra wipes of your going to use this haha.

The picture below shows me without mascara and with the Benefit They're Real. The last photo is of the Maybelline One By One mascara. I decided to put the Maybelline one in because it's the only mascara I own that I thought was similar. They both have plastic applicators but as you can see the Benefit mascara is more lengthened and the Maybelline mascara is more clumpy. Although the They're Real mascara isn't too clumpy with one coat, if you added another coat it would certainly be very heavy and thick.

Overall I love this mascara, although it's a little bit on the pricey side, the outcome is lovely. It definitely makes a difference on my lashes and lengthens them. I definitely recommend this and if you love your mascaras (like me) then you'll love this. Thanks for reading this blog post and I hope you enjoyed it, bye!

Q&A

Hey guys! If you follow me on Instagram (@_beautiegirl) then you'll know that I asked my followers to ask me some questions so I could do a Q&A here on my blog. This is quite a short blog post but I hope you enjoy!

1. If you could only have one makeup item for the rest of your life what would it be?
Well I want to say mascara but what if I have a spot or something then I'll need concealer? Hmm I'm gonna go for mascara as it just tops of a look and I can never leave the house without mascara.

2. If you could have 1 perfume for the rest of your life what would it be?
I'd probably go for Daisy by Marc Jacobs as it's just the perfect sweet floral fragrance and I absolutely love it.

3. Favourite perfume for bottle design?
For bottle design, hmm definitely the Marc Jacobs perfumes, probably Oh Lola as it's just so bright and bold and I love pink so... Haha!

4. Why did you start doing a blog?
I started blogging because I really enjoy makeup and beauty and I wanted to start a YouTube, but I'm not confident enough and I'm not allowed haha. Also I was reading other peoples blogs such as Zoella, Ashleighbeauty and CoutureGirl. They really inspired me to start a blog and that's what I did.

5. What are you inspired to be?
I am still unsure about what I want to be, but I want to be something that makes me happy and that I enjoy. I would also love a career fashion/makeup related but I'm not sure if I will go down that route.

6. Why did you start a themed Instagram?
To be honest I don't really know. I used to have a themed Instagram account that my friends at school knew about called @amandabrick but it got hacked so I had to make another one. I also had another secret one called @amandabeautie and if you go on my older blog posts you'll see me sharing it, but then that also got hacked and I couldn't access it. Then later on I wanted to restart a themed Instagram and so I did. I really enjoy taking photographs especially of makeup as it's so photogenic.

7. What's your favourite concealer?
Definitely Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer, I've talked about this so much on my blog but it's the best drugstore concealer and such a good price. If you haven't already tried it out then go and check it out!

8. How to you edit your Instagram photos?
I edit it with snapseed and moreBeaute2.

9. Who inspires you?
My inspiration comes from people makeup obsessed like me haha such as Zoella, Tanya Burr, Velvetgh0st and many more.

10. If you could live on one makeup brand for free for the rest of your life what would it be?
For free? Then probably like Chanel haha! Or MAC? I don't know!

Thank you to everyone who asked these questions and I hope you enjoyed this blogpost!

Mini Haul!

Hey guys I hope you're all well. Today I'm going to be doing a haul for you. This is a mini haul compared to the amount other people would include in their haul but oh well! The two things I bought were the Revlon Colourburst Lip Laquer in Vivacious or 120 and the Revlon Lip Butter in Strawberry Shortcake. There was a 3 for 2 offer in Boots on all Revlon products so I got two products and my sister got one as well (she got the Revlon Lip Butter in Berry Smoothie.)

I'm starting with the Revlon Colourburst which is basically a lip crayon. I'd heard a lot about the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Lip balms and the Colourburst Matte Balms but  when I tested them in the shops I preferred the Lip Laquers. Also I prefer the packing of the lip Laquers as it is shiny and the others are just matte. The shade I got is called Vivacious and it is a bright juicy pink. The actually product is really good as well, it's very smooth, moisturising and glossy. However they don't last as long as maybe a. Lipstick would as they are more glossy than matte. But nevertheless I love the product as I really like the lip crayon type of products, especially the Bourjois Colourboost lip crayons.

The next product I got is the Revlon Lip Butter. I will be doing a review on these later in the month. I chose the shade Strawberry Shortcake. I've seem that it was a popular choice on Instagram etc and I thought it looked really pretty in the shop so I decided to get it. It's a light pink that's quite sheer and shimmery. The lip butters are really creamy and are like a mix between a lip balm and lipstick. Overall I really recommend these two products that I bought.

So that's everything that I bought, it's quite a mini haul compared to how much other people normally include in their hauls. I hope you enjoyed this blog post, if you'd like me to do any reviews on these products or if you have any other then please comment below. Hope you have a nice day, bye!
