Soap and Glory Brow Archery

Recently I picked up a new eyebrow product from Boots and it is the Soap and Glory Archery. I got it in the shade Brownie Points because that was the only brown shade, which I was a little disappointed about as there was only 2 shades. But my first impression definitely has to be the packaging - it is slim and practical and the box was also really nice with the whole colour co-ordination going on.

On one side of the product is a 'precision shaping pencil' but it is basically a very fine felt tip. On the other side is the 'brow tint' which is a crayon-like product which twists up. I do have to say though, the amount of product in the crayon/wax side is a little bit disappointing as I feel like I might go through this very quickly. When I was buying this I was expecting to prefer the felt tip, but after using it for a while I definitely prefer the crayon side.

The crayon is very easy to apply and is very natural, which is something that I was looking for. Although if you tested it on your hand it does come out quite faint, when you apply it onto your brows, it does actually come out pigmented, but not too strong to make it obvious you have filled your brows in. The wax on the other hand, is a lot more pigmented so I have to be a bit more careful when I use this side. However as it has a very thin nib, this comes in handy when you just want to define very carefully. The colour of the product is a little bit too brown and red-toned for me, I would prefer a more ash-toned brown as that would suit my eyebrows more.

But overall I am really happy with the purchase of this product, and I would recommend it to you if you are looking for a brow product, it is so easy to use and I really like using it do define my brows. I think next time I will just buy the original Brow Archery which, I think, only contains the crayon and not the felt-tip as it is cheaper and I don't really use the felt tip too often.

Kylie Jenner Inspired Makeup Look

Products used:
Rimmel Professional Brow Pencil in Balck Brown
Collection 24 Hour Extreme Felt Tip Liner
17 Va Va Voom Mascara
Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick in 08
I'm a huge fan of Kylie Jenner, especially her makeup. I am so jealous of her lips, MAC velvet teddy is definitely on my wishlist (apparently that's the lipstick she uses.) Today I did a makeup look inspired by Kylie Jenner, mainly the picture she posted on instagram about 30 weeks ago, I didn't base it on her recent selfies mainly because I didn't want to wear eyeshadow and I wanted to do a winged eyeliner.

For the lips I used Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in 08 which is the closest colour I have to Kylie's lips. She likes to wear a mauvey brown nude and the Rimmel lipstick is a great alternative. I did apply it a bit further than my lip line to make my lips fuller. Unfortunately the lipstick I used isn't matte, so what I did was dust some translucent powder on top to give it a matte finish!

On my eyes I used the Collection 24 Hour Extreme Felt Tip Liner to create a winged look. I then filled in my brows with the Rimmel Professions Brow Pencil in Black Brown.

So that is all I did to create a similar look to Kylie Jenner. Obviously I don't look like her! That's not what I'm trying to say haha, I mean I just recreated the same makeup look she did but I know I don't look like her haha. This is just my take on her makeup! I hope you enjoyed it, thanks for reading!

Foundation and Brow Routine #teenblogseries

It's Monday, so that means it's time for another post in the #teenblogseries! Today it's all about our foundation and brows routine. I don't actually wear foundation everyday, mostly just concealer or bb cream. But I do fill my brows in everyday, here is what I do!

Foundation

The first thing I like to do is apply a small amount of the Benefit Porefessional around my nose, chin and forehead.  If I were to wear foundation that day, I would go for my Rimmel Match Perfection. I have actually recently reviewed this foundation so you can view that here. I like to dot this around my face and then blend it in using a Real Techniques Buffing Brush. Blending is really important as you don't want the foundation to look unnatural.

I then apply some concealer on any blemishes and under my eyes. I like to use the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer. I then use the Real Techniques Deluxe Crease Brush to blend the concealer in. Lastly, I set all that make up with the Natural Collection Pressed Powder.

Brows

I have quite naturally dark eyebrows but I like to neaten them up a bit. Firstly, I do pluck my eyebrows but only the ones that are out of place as I don't like to shape them myself. I recommend asking your mum or someone experienced before you go plucking them. And if you want to trim and shape them I would get them done professionally as you don't want to end up with 1 row of hairs.

On to the actual filling in, I like to use a pencil as it is more precise. For this I like to use the Rimmel Professional Eyebrow Pencil, I have the darkest shade black brown. It comes with a brush as well which is useful. I am pretty sure this was only about £3 or £4 so an absolute bargain!

I very gently fill my eyebrows in, using small and short strokes to look like hairs. Make sure you are pressing lightly as you want it to be very natural and you want it to look like hairs and not pencil marks. Once I have finished I take a clear brow gel, this one is from 17, to set the brows in place.

So that is my foundation and brow routine I hope you enjoyed it! Thank you for reading, bye!
