Travel Makeup Bag

You may (or maybe you aren't) wondering where I have been for past week. But I promise I will be back to my usual posting schedule, it's because last week I was on a school trip in Wales for a week. But now I am back home I am back with a new post, which is a look into my Travel Makeup Bag.

I probably didn't need to bring so much makeup, but I mainly just bought the necessities for my everyday makeup routine (concealer, powder, eyebrows and mascara.) So let's start with brushes, I bought with me the Real Techniques Buffing Brush and Multi-Tasking Brush. I used the Buffing Brush to blend in my concealer and the concealer I bought was the Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer as it is such an everyday under-the-eye concealer. For powder, I chose the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder. This powder is a new use of mine and I can definitely say it is amazing. I also bought with me the Benefit Porefessional primer because it is amazing and helps to cover up my pores.

Now onto the eye products. I did actually bring 2 mascaras purely because I had a mini mascara and I just really wanted to bring it; but I also wanted to bring my favourite mascara which is the L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes. I have talked about this mascara sooo much here on my blog so I shan't go on any more. But all I have to say is it is incredible. Also in my makeup bag is a mini of the Benefit Bad Gal Mascara, this mascara isn't really that amazing and a bit of a let down especially from Benefit. But its not too bad, but there are better mascaras out there. Sometimes I often wear brown eye-liner lightly on my lower lashes to define them a bit, so the Rimmel Eye Pencil in Sable is also in my travel bag. But how can I forget eyebrows? My only eyebrow product, but it is amazing, is the Rimmel Brow Pencil.

Lastly for lips, I just have a basic yet trustworthy Vaseline, how could I live without my Vaseline? And I also bought with me one of the Baby Lips in Pink Lolita.

So I believe that is everything that I bought along with me when I went travelling. I hope you enjoyed this post, thank you for reading!

Travel Friendly Makeup Brushes

If you are going travelling, you don't want to be bringing your whole brush collection with you. You probably want to bring as little as possible, so this post is going to be about my favourite brushes for travelling. The brushes I have chosen all have many different uses, so this means you don't have to bring as many brushes, they're kind of like a 2 in 1 brush! You may have noticed they are all Real Techniques, but that's because I love using their brushes because they are amazing quality and really affordable.

Real Techniques Buffing Brush // Core Collection Kit
This is the perfect brush for blending and buffing in foundation or BB cream. I even use it to blend in concealer. This is such an essential for me everyday because it really makes sure your foundation is blended, and if you are like me and can't stand the feel (and the look) of unblended foundation, then you should really try out this brush!

Real Techniques Domed Shadow Brush // Travel Essentials Kit
This brush even comes in the Travel Essentials Kit, so it really is perfect for travelling! This is such a useful brush for eye makeup, it is very fluffy so perfect for blending the shadows, but it is also quite flat on the side so it can really pack the shadow on. Instead of bringing 3 different brushes for eyeshadow, you can just use this one brush.

Real Techniques Multi-Tasking Brush // Travel Essentials Kit
If you thought the other brushes were an essential for travelling, this brush is even more of a necessity! Firstly it comes in the Travel Kit, but it is also called the Multi-Tasking Brush; and this post is all about multi-tasking brushes! Anyway this brush can be used for powder, blush, bronzer and maybe even blending foundation! So instead of bringing separate brushes for all of that, you only need this one brush.

Real Techniques Deluxe Crease Brush // Eye Starter Kit
For me, this brush is amazing for blending in concealer under the eyes. But it is also really good for blending eye makeup as well. Another amazing multi-tasking brush!

Those are all my favourite brushes which are perfect for travelling as they all have more than one use! I hope you enjoyed this post, thank you for reading!

Holiday Makeup Must-Haves ~ Summer in the Sun

Hey beauties! I have another blog post in the Summer in the Sun Series that I talked about in my last blog post. Its all about summer and the holidays so I am going to show you my holiday make up must haves. These are the products I'm going to bring along with me on holiday though I will probably (definitely) not bring some of the lip products as I don't think I need all of those for 1 week.

Firstly my makeup bag is from Vera Wang and I got it in a set with the Princess perfume. I like how it is clear which means I can see all the products and it is quite large and spacious too which is always a bonus.

Face
I am bringing my trustworthy Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer as I use it all the time and cannot live without it. On holiday, I prefer not to wear a heavy foundation so I am just sticking to concealer and powder which is the Natural Collection Powder. I also just popped a mini High Beam by Benefit into the bag as well to add a bit of a radiant glow onto my cheeks. Instead of bringing a separate blush and bronzer, I chose the Sleek Face Form Kit as it has everything in the palette that I need. A matte bronzer, shimmery red/pink blush and a highlight all compact in one little palette.

Eyes
As I am to bring as little as possible, I thought a 12 eyeshadow palette probably wouldn't be appropriate. But a mini trio eyeshadow from 17 (now called Seventeen I think) in Metallic Toffee would be all I need as it has 3 shades that are wearable colours. Mascara-wise I have chosen the Maybelline Mega Plush but knowing me I will probably end up changing as I am not 100% sure which one to bring. I also am bringing the Rimmel Soft Kohl Kajal Eyeliner in 011 Sable.

Lips
Okay so I know I probably don't need 5 different lip options for 7 day holiday, but who knows whether I will be craving a bold peach or a natural nude lip? So its better to bring all the options for whatever lip colour I am feeling that day. I have brought the MUA lipstick in Shade 16 'Nectar', a flattering peachy orange shade // Revlon Colourburst Lip Lacquer in 120 'Vivacious', a bold pink // Benefit Hoola Lip Gloss, a natural nude/brown colour // Bourjois Colourboost Lip Crayon in 'Peach on the Beach',  a pretty pinky peach shade // Too Faced Sweet Sun Shines Lip Gloss in 'Papaya Slushie', a sheer orange colour.

Brushes
Estee Lauder big Powder Brush //  Real Techniques Buffing Brush // RT Deluxe Crease brush // RT Setting Brush // RT Contour Brush // RT Base Shadow Brush // Estee Lauder Eye Brush

Thank you for reading I hope you enjoyed this blog post! What are you holiday makeup must-haves, tell me in the comments!
